My phone was hit by the bullet that made Xiumin

run away, as I looked back half terrified of

what happened, I saw Nana running towards me

together with a man that shot my phone to

pieces.

“Nana..” I stuttered before passing out.

“I thought you got rid of him!” I heard Nana

shout from the other room, “You said he will

never comeback!”

“Nana..” I said as I walked towards her and the

man, “What did Xiumin do?”

“_____-ah, I thought I told you not to speak to

anyone, except..”

“Nana, he..he was there, it just happened,

he..he understood me..”

“No. he did not, he’ll try to take you away from

me, like what he tried to do with your mom..”

“Nana, he wouldn’t do that! He’s not what you

think he is!”

“No.._____-ah, you don’t know him..you haven’t

lived long enough to know what he is..” Nana

spoke softly as she dismissed the man.

Nana took my hand and guided me to the sofa

as she took out an old photobook, a worn out red

photobook with ripped edges and yellow pages,

the other photos were blurry but it’s enough to

make Nana remember everything.

“People around here believes in creatures like

him, they believe that his kinds exists, that

every bit of him screams of trouble. But me and

Nathan thought otherwise, we brought this

property together with the forest and moved

here with your mom who was just a baby at that

time. We were happy but then that was also the

time when he came into our lives, Jessica and I

saw him lying in the clearing clutching his

stomach as he rolled on the ground, your mom,

being a child wanted to save him and I just can’t

say no to her, we brought him back here, clothed

him, fed him, named him and treated him like a

normal person, but that time, I just don’t know

when but Jessica knew that he’s not normal, that

he is something else. Nathan on the other hand

saw this as an opening and went away leaving me

and Jessica alone, and as my suspicions about

that kid grew, so did Jessica’s fondness, they

can never be separated even how many times I

kept on telling your mom to let him go. Later on

that night your mom, she grew sick, with an

unknown disease and even the doctors can’t cure
