Sasha walked up the stairs nodding the music that played from her iPod. When she saw the blood, she gasped then screamed.
She reached down the stairs and reached for the land phone on the table.
"911 what's your emergency."
Sasha cried into the phone. "There's been an accident at my house. She is not moving and she is bleeding."
"What's your house number?"
"21A Allison Avenue, StoneFields." Sasha sobbed. Her hands vibrated.
"Calm down, paramedics are on their way."
Sasha dropped the phone and looked at the direction of the stairs.
When they arrived, Sasha showed them where Aria laid.
"Move, she has lost a lot of blood." One of them said. He checked for a pulse. "Her pulse is good." Sasha moved. Two other men aided in carrying Aria on a stretcher.
"Are you alone?" Another paramedic asked her.
"No. My brother, he is in his room."
"Call your parents."
"We are not staying here alone. We are coming along." Sasha sniffled as she raced up the stairs. She knocked at Lucas' door. When he didn't open immediately she feared the worst.
"What?" He asked her when he saw it was her.
"We have to go. Aria passed out." She said.
He gave her a suspicious look.
"I did not fight her. The paramedics are taking her to the hospital. Come on." She said pulling him.
He followed her.
"Is that her blood?" He asked.
"Yes." Sasha whimpered.
Their mother was the first to arrive at the hospital and Sasha ran into her bosom sobbing. Their father arrived minutes later.
"What happened?" Philip asked.
"I think she banged her head on the wall opposite her room." Sasha said.
"Where is the doctor?" Philip asked looking around.
"They are with her. They said she lost a lot of blood."
"Jesus Christ!" Philip exclaimed. He looked at Sasha. "Did something happen? Did you girls quarrel or fight?"
"We didn't fight. I saw her at the stairs, I would never hurt her." Sasha cried.
"It's okay." Melinda consoled her. She pulled her son close and held them both.
When the doctor came out, Philip rushed to him.
"How is my daughter?"
"She is going to be fine, but lost blood. We managed to stabilize her, in no time she'd be fine."
"And the wound."
"It's just a small scar. We patched it up."
"Thank you." Philip said.
"Can we see her now?"
"Soon, but not yet."
He went back to meet Melinda and the kids.
"What did he say?" Melinda asked.
"She is going to be okay."
"Can we go see her?" Melinda asked.
"No. Not yet." Philip said running his hand through his hair. .
They sat there, waiting patiently to be called in.Olivia drove through the bridge slowly. She danced to the song from the radio and sang along
"You so don't do things that way, you got me on! They say you want me, oh!"
She nodded and shook her shoulders. She had told her husband and her boss the lies she could harbor. The very ones that would cause them to believe her. Finding her daughter was all she wanted to work for now. Meeting her and holding her, talking to her.
"You got my heart........" She screamed along with the singer from the radio. "And I'm gonna get it back." She died down.
"Whooooa!" She shouted almost immediately. She threw her hands in the air leaving the steering, after dancing a while she held the steering tightly again.
"Hello Olivia." Someone said from the radio.
Olivia narrowed her eyes to the radio. She raised an eyebrow, trying to ponder if she had just heard her name or was it something else.
"I'm back. Little wounds bleed so much. You can ask Aria." Olivia knew that voice. It was Him. He was the one, she was exceedingly sure buy what does he want? Aria. The very same girl he couldn't hurt sixteen years ago. "I coming back for everything. Including Aria."
"No!" Olivia screamed swerving the car off the road. It plunged into the river, and sank there gradually.
Olivia gasped for breath as water rushed into the car. The door was jammed and she couldn't get out.
She pushed her hand under her seat and got out a spanner. She whipped the window, flogging it ceaselessly until it broke, she pushed out the broken glasses and swam out.
"Someone is coming out." Someone shouted from the bridge. A group of people had gathered there to watch.
Olivia panted, struggling to get to the bank of the river.
"Someone help me." She cried. Water rushed into her mouth and she spat then out. Someone dived into the river and swam towards her.
When Olivia woke up on the hospital bed, she touched her temples to check her pressure. A nurse entered the room.
"Hi, you are up already." The nurse said smiling at her.
Olivia swallowed. "Where is this place?"
"A hospital. You drowned."
Olivia remembered the words on the radio, how he managed to filter into a radio network baffled her.
"I have to go now." Olivia said sitting up.
"You would. Soon." The nurse told her.
Olivia swallowed a hard mass of saliva and closed her eyes, as though she felt some kind of pain within her.
