Chapter 4: The cave

Fionnas Pov:

I walk deeper into the cave, sword in my right hand, Marshall holding my left,

"What do you think ghosts are made of?" I ask, I figured he'd actually know,

"Same stuff boogers are," he laughs and flicks my nose,

"Ew marsha-" I stop and listen, I hear foot steps, all around us. I'm not sure how many or where, it's very dark in the cave.

"Marshall," I whisper, I let his hand go a second ago to grip my sword and now I don't know where he went but I felt him pick me up and lift me off the ground. I rest my head on his chest,

"I'm so glad you're okay, I'm not sure what's in here," I say until I realize it's not Marshall. It's some creature and I start to scream. I kick its face and land on my feet with my sword in hand, swishing it around not sure what's around me, how many, and how big they are. I look frantically for Marshall, but can't see a thing in the cave.

"Marshall!" I scream. I feel something grab my leg and drag me, I fall and drop my sword and I can't see where it is, I feel tears run down my face, the claws that were dragging me fell weak and stopped. I realized around me it was silent, I wasn't sure if it was good or bad. A little light flickers next to me and I see Marshall's face. I jump on him and hug him as he wipes my tears away.

"What the glob happened? Where'd you go? I thought you were hurt and I couldn't find you!"

I say holding him tight.

"Fionna I was here the whole time, I can see in the dark much better than you, there were so many, I'm not sure what they were but they couldn't see, it was all sound, so I stayed silent, im sorry they hurt you let me see," he says as he picks me up and looks at my leg with his little match,

"Let me take you back to my house and fix that up, it's closer." He says, heading out of the cave.

"Ill call Cake when we get there and tell her I'm okay. I'm sure she's worried to death." I say plainly.

"Alright bunny. No walking I'll carry you the whole way" he says as I try to hop out of his arms but he tightens his grip.

My head starts to spin and before I know it, everything goes black.
