Walking around my new home of Forks, Washington there is so much green. Being a Phoenix, I am used to spending a lot of time in the desert. Having my fill of the green dreary town, I return to the house that Aro purchased for me.

I should probably explain. I am Bella Swan Voltori, the only phoenix left in the world. I am over 300000 years old. The only Voltori members that I have met are Aro, Caius, and Marcus. I have never met any member of the guard, although I do know that my mate is a member of the guard. I should explain how I know this. My senses are 5 times that of a vampires, even the most gifted vampires.

Now here I am in Forks per Aro's request. I am here to keep an eye on a rather large coven of vampires that reside here. I have discovered the presence of a pack of shifters near by. However I am not concerned the they will discover my identity. I smell human to any supernatural creatures. I do however smell especially appealing to vampires but their instincts tell them that I am dangerous so they tend to try not to drink from me. Key word try, some are foolish and do not care. They have a tendency to end of char boiled.

Now, I am sure that you are curious as to how I can watch a family of vampires. Well I discovered that they attend school and drink animal blood instead of human. Now because I only appear to be 18 years old I have enrolled myself in school. It is not as if I need it however, I have doctorates in 18 different subjects, I know several long forgotten subjects including alchemy.

My physiology is very similar to that of a vampires. The only differences being that I require 2-3 hours of sleep a night, I run warmer than a shifter, I can eat human food, and I can tan. Poor vampires become walking disco balls in the sun. Speaking of sleep however, I should get some. I do have my first day of class tomorrow.

Waking up in the morning, I dressed in my usual leather jacket with a muscle shirt and dark skinny jeans. After eating a small breakfast that consists of deer blood and a pop tart I grab my keys and walk out to my Ducati Monster 821 Stripe. I recently had it painted black with a red/orange phoenix on it.

I also have a 2017 Maserati GranTurismo. That car is painted fire red. It was a parting gift from Aro. He gave it to me because he sees me as his own daughter.

Anyway, riding to school I got there in about 5 minutes. Everyone watched me pull into the lot. My blonde hair flowing from under my helmet. My eyes immediately spot the Cullen's. They're all standing by their cars, watching me with distrusting eyes. As I take my helmet off I let my orange eyes meet their golden ones. The shocked gasps they all released were extremely amusing. Smirking at them I got off my bike and headed to the office to collect my schedule.

Being a senior, I was able to ensure that a vampire was in every one of my classes. My first class was history with Jasper. Entering the class I smirked before taking a seat in the back next to some preppy girl. All throughout class I didn't take my eyes off him and I could hear the low growls that he was giving me. They were too low for any human to hear, even if they were directly next to him, yet I could hear them perfectly clear. When class was over I decided to go over to him.

"You know, it's not polite to growl at people." I tell him with a smirk as his head whips around too fast for human eyes. I laugh when that happens before heading off to my next class that is shared with the blonde vampire, Rosalie. This time I chose to sit next to her, just to annoy her.

"Hello, nice day." I say wit ha small smile playing at my lips before looking at her to see her already looking at me.

"Yes it is. A very nice day." She says. The last part however is said as though it has a double meaning. A small smile is playing on her lips as well as she turns back to the class.

The rest of my day is spent annoying the vampires and the strange conversation with Rosalie playing on my mind.
