"Damn woman." Butch cursed cocking his gun then unshackling the load making a repetitive tick tick tick. He tried to spin it on his hand and dropped it on the bed. He cursed snatching it up again. Once more he started clicking it in frustration. He wanted to be out of here, "That bloody ceilin' is getting on my nerves!" He hissed just managing to pull himself on his side. He threw the gun on the side cabinet making sure that it didn't go out of reach.

The room was dull and he soon worked out that there was no money in the place. He didn't care much though, all he wanted was to get the ranger and his silver.

"Woman!" He shouted.

"What?" She asked coming upstairs with a whisky and slamming it down on the side.

"I can trust ya right? Ol' Butch has a mission for you."

"You know that when people talk in the third person it's a sign of madness right?"

"Shut yer sarcastic mouth you harlot."

"Fine." She took the glass and moved it just out of his reach angrily.

"You know what will happen if you betray me don't ya?" He grinned, gold glinted on one of his teeth and his eyes were alight with a vampiric lust.

"What do you need I'm really busy?"

"Too busy for me?" He asked. She took a deep breath before relenting and sitting on the edge of the bed. Butch knew he was pushing his luck but what was she going to do? She was just a stupid city bird in his opinion, pretty enough to take when he left but trickable and useful for the time being. Besides when she wasn't useful he'd just kill her.

"What do you need? I don't think I can get any more painkillers without suspicion."

"I got whisky for that."

"Fraid that's all." She replied sliding the glass back to his reach. He took it and sipped feeling the heat hit his throat.

"Shame I shot Collins." He emptied the glass, "He knew where to get good drink."

"You really don't mind killing do you?"

"Why should I? It's animal instinct. Look go to town, get me some bullets. Go see what ranger is working and tell him you need bullets for that gun there for your self-defence. He'll help yer get us some."

"Can do." She replied getting up and putting the dust off her skirt.

"Wait." He said grabbing her wrist. He didn't intend to be so rough but she flinched. "You'll ask the ranger right? Seller's will give you a bad deal, take note to see the ranger."

"I will."

"Can I have this?" He asked taking hold of her scarf. A sick flashback of a green scarf with a pretty smell ran through his mind. This girl however was far more willing, far more gulable he smiled.

"Of course." Annabelle replied sliding it off her neck and letting him take it. There was a necklace underneath that she put on the side. He took the light grey piece of fabric and put it to his face smelling it. There was definitely attraction in her eyes before she left the room.

"Stupid girl." He grinned after the footsteps decended.

Annabelle was strolling along the hillside to the top. She had purposefully left the horses away from the cabin to stop any suspicious passers by from coming down. She got on her thoroughbred Josie and put her straight to gallop. After ten minutes or so she came across a wandering ranger and indian.
