Chapter 2

Looking around the room I spotted a desk, I took my messenger bag from around my shoulder and sat it next to the desk. I turn around to see if Kevin is ready: he was inches from me, invading my personal space. I looked up to him and he looked down at me.
"You ready?" he asked. Still puzzled by how close he was his question confused me.
"For what?" I asked back. He looked irritated by my question. He pulled the chair from the desk and sat me in it.
"Helping me with my test idiot!" he remarked. He pulled a chair next to me and scooted close.
It was past 6 after we finished with his corrections. He seems to understand his mistakes and is confident enough to retake it tomorrow. He's smiling, his perfect white teeth glistening with the light. He looked at me with his charcoal eyes, his cheeks turning red. OMG IS HE BLUSHING? AT ME?
"Thanks dork, your the best." he said and smiled. He scratched the top of his head, like he was nervous.
"Wanna stay and watch a movie on Netflix?" he asked. Flabbergasted by his question I ask," what about your parents?
"What about them?"
"Won't they be home soon?"
"And?"
"And."
"DoubleD I can have friends over" he smirked.
"Oh."
"Oh?" he laughed. "You saying I'm a geek like you?" My eyes widened.
"N-No, that's not it at all!" I said nervously " I'm just surprised you wanna watch a movie with me."
"I think your getting the wrong idea, I doing this as a thank you. It's just a movie you dweeb." he laughed again. why does he keep laughing at me, I frowned.
"What?" he asked.
" What?" I asked back.
"Forget it" He now look annoyed. He dragged me to the living and there we watched 'Salt'. A movie about a Russian spy. I really am not interested in this movie. Halfway through the movie he threw his arm over my shoulder and fell asleep. His chin on my head, I'm starting to feel some type of way. Not sure what but definitely emotional. I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning in my room. Did Kevin carry me back home? NOO that's ludacris, my parents must have gotten me. Yesterday feels like a dream, laying on Kevin's chest while watching a stupid movie.
I haven't seen Kevin today and he wasn't in first hour. At lunch I have a hard time deciding what to have, I have enough money for anything. Standing in line for pizza 3 big football player approach me.
"Give me your lunch money geek!" one of the jocks said.
"B-But this is all I-I have!" I say
" I don't care GIVE ME YOUR MON-" he started.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!" a familiar voice shouts.
"Kevin, we're just getting lunch money dude chi-" one of the jocks said but was interrupted again.
"I DON'T CARE, this is my geek! Go find your own!" Kevin shouted. The jocks shrugged and walked off. Kevin? why did he save me? He cut in the line and stood next to me.
"Hey dork." he said smiling down at me.
"Kevin?, why did you help me?" I asked.
"Don't ask why, just say Thank you." he replied.
"Well Thank you Kevin, I don't suppose you've come to take my money?" I asked. He looked down at me, he almost looks disappointed.
"Is that what you think of me? No I'm not taking your money DoubleD."
I dropped my money, but before I could pick it up Kevin beat me to it. He gave me the money and smiled.
"What's in the line anyway? and why do you eat school lunch, aren't they gross?" He pushed people out of the way and dragged me to the front."You really wanna eat this?" He asked. I shrugged.
"It's not like I have a choice" I said. He smirked and pulled me out of the line.
He took me to his car and we went to the nearby Burger King. He paid for my food and we ate in the school parking lot. He ordered 2 whoppers and ordered me a whopper Jr. I don't understand how someone so fit could eat this much and stay fit.
"What are you doing after school today?" He asked with a mouth full of food. Confused by the question, I looked over at him and saw Nazz approaching.
"Hey Kev- oh you and DoubleD friends now?"
"Yep, got a problem with it?" He shot back.
"No I was just wondering, wanna go -"
"No."
"No? I didn't even get to ask the question!"
"You were gonna ask me to go somewhere with you and no, I've got plans with dork here." He said and looked to me smiling.
"We do?"
"You do?" me and Nazz asked at the same time.
" Yeah, so get off my back already!" He turned off the car and got out. Gathering my stuff, Kevin opened my door and grabbed my bag. he walked me to my next class and and told me to stay after school so we go home together, after his practice. I wonder why is he so suddenly interested in me. Maybe it was the kiss, or when we fell asleep watching the movie.
After school I went to the library to do my homework since I was to stay after school. I finished all my work at 5 and was curious to where Kevin was. I gathered all my things and went to the football field. They're still practicing. I see Kevin: number 1. He runs so fast, maybe this is why he doesn't get fat. I go and sit on the bleachers. The 3 jocks are here and one of them noticed me, he turned and called out to Kevin.
"KEV BRO, YOUR GEEK IS HERE!"
Kevin looked towards them still not noticing me, he took off his helmet, shook his hair and ran toward the jocks.
"What did you say?"Kevin asked them
"Your nerd is here." They repeated. Kevin looked toward me and smiled, he turned back to the jocks and said," Thanks, and his name is DoubleD. Don't ever call him anything but DoubleD got that?" they agreed and Kevin started towards me, ran up the stairs and sat next to me. He threw his arm over my shoulder and kissed my cheek. Now blushing I throw his arm from my shoulder.
"KEVIN!! YOU'RE SWEARING,THATS DISGUSTING!" I yell without thinking. Oh no, I just yelled at Kevin, I'm definitely get beaten up now.
Kevin glared at me, then bursted into laughter, tears streaming down his eyes. I turned my back to him furious.
"I don't see what so funny." I said now crossing my arms. His laughter quieted to a giggle.
Kevin grabbed his helmet and put it on me, he turned me around and laughed again. Blushing and embarrassed, trying to take the helmet off but he buckled it on.
"K-Kevin take this off of me this instant!" I yelled at him. He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me close.
"Calm down, you look pretty rad with my helmet on." He complimented. I couldn't help but smile and blush. Good thing he can't see me with this helmet on.
" I have to go take off this gear and shower, I'll be back. And don't think about taking that helmet off." he ordered. Then he walked off, I watched him go farther and farther until I couldn't see him anymore.
After waiting for about 10 minutes I finally see Kevin, and a group of guys. As they approach I stay seated and start feeling nervous. It looks like Kevin told the guys to wait for then, and he ran towards me. Unclipping the helmet, he pulled it off.
"You have a small head, dork." he said giggling. I turned and pouted.
"C'mon let's go." he grabbed me and threw his arm over my shoulder. We walked closer to the group looking like a couple with his arm over my shoulder. One of the guys came over and shook Kevin's hand. He looked at me and said," Sup little Kevin." I looked up to Kevin to see his reaction but he just looked at me and smiled.
"Hellooo." I said to him smiling, I even gave a little wave.
"You're such a dork." Kevin said snorkeling. Another guy came over to us and asked," Are you two dating?"
"And if we are?" Kevin shot back.
" Well then, cool!" he said introducing himself to me.
We all started walking toward the parking lot, when we got to the car Kevin threw his stuff in the back and opened the door for me, I got in and waited for him. When he got in he seemed excited, he looked in my direction and smiled.
"You didn't seemed too bothered when the guys asked if we we're dating, so how about it? Be my boyfriend."He demanded. I was in shock by the question totally unexpected. I looked at him and smiled.
"O-ok s-sure!" I said with the biggest smile ever. He looked at me and laughed. My smile disappeared, omg was this a prank? Did I really just fall for that? Kevin stopped laughing, noticing I'm upset.
"What?" He asked
"Was this a joke? Why are you laughing at me?" I scolded. He smiled.
" I was laughing because you're adorable when you stutter."He said with a straight face. He pulled me by my chin and kissed my so gently, he wrapped his arms around me grasping my waist pulling me under him. He deepened the kiss sliding his tongue in my mouth. I feel so happy right now. I've never felt like this before.
