Emily Fields had known her wife since Freshman year of high school. It's more than a decade after and she had come to know Alison deeply; she has familiarized herself with her wife's behavior, her quirks and mannerisms, emotions and facial expressions. That is why she braced herself for her wife's wrath as she entered their apartment. Soon enough, a red Christmas ball has came bouncing out of nowhere and towards Emily's face. It was followed with another and another.

Emily tried to dodge the balls as she came nearer to her wife. "Babe! Stop it, please!" But Alison only glared at her and started picking a wrapped gift below their Christmas tree as Emily's eyes widened. "Alison! Not that one, it's fragile and expensive!" Alison halted her movements but returned the gift on its previous place. She scowled at Emily, her chest heaving and she had gotten quite tired from her latest exercise.

"Mrs. Fields..." Emily took three uncertain steps toward Alison but the blonde only raised her hand to stop her. "Don't Mrs. Fields me, Emily Catherine. What do you think you were doing talking to Paige McCullers when I specifically asked you not to?" Alison almost shouted at her and Emily gulped at what she had asked. Damn it, how did she know?

Emily looked at her pleadingly befor situating herself on their couch. "Can you sit down, please?" But Alison just glared at her some more and Emily knew that she shouldn't push her wife's buttons because she was already in big trouble as it is. "I was only talking to her because she was asking for my swimmers who might be willing to attend Danby next semester. I know that some of them considers the school and I liked it when Paige said their school is sending in scouts for the meet to watch my swimmers. I only talked to her about who I think has great potentials and who I know deserve a scholarship at Danby. That was just it, I promise, babe. It didn't even lasted for half an hour. She wanted to talk but I told her I was going home to you."

Alison felt her eyes water after Emily explained herself. She doesn't really wanted to get this worked up but she doesn't know why she is. Paige was one hella obstacle in her and Emily's relationship in high school. She was Emily's childhood best friend and ultimately, her first girlfriend. Paige didn't take their break up to kindly when Emily decided to give her full attention to swimming. But Emily was smitten by Alison so she did everything she can to make the blonde fall in love with her. This sparked Paige's jealousy which lead to years of her trying to break the couple apart. She gets too close to Emily and she always tried to brainwash Alison with her filthy words. Alison had enough of her and decided to break up with Emily at one point. But the brunette was persistent, believing and knowing that it was Alison DiLaurentis that she wanted to spend the rest of her lives with.

Paige went to Danby as the couple decided to lay back in Pennsylvania to attend Hollis, taking courses in Education. Paige tried to sobatage their relationship many times still, even opting to try kissing Emily in a party and the blonde didn't take this lightly as she dragged the bitch's face away from her fiancee and slapped her so hard, Paige eyes' watered.

It was only after Emily talked to Paige that she stopped, not wanting to really disappoint the brunette. Alison was so close in getting a TRO against Paige but Emily said she was crazy to think of that, Paige was and still is Emily's friend, well in some ways. Alison doesn't really want to upset Emily so she decided to let the matter rest.

But it seemed that after a few years, Paige is back to get between her and Emily and she doesn't like the idea of her trolling around. Emily was hers and hers alone. "Ali, please believe me. I love you, you know that. You're my wife, the person I went home everyday to, the only one I get to cuddle every night with." Emily raised a tentative hand to hold Ali's arm and the blonde couldn't help the tears that escaped her eyes. She was really upset and Emily curses herself for causing this. "Well then, you shouldn't mind cuddling with pillows on the couch tonight then." And just like that, Alison turned towards their bedroom, getting a pillow and a blanket from their closet and handling it to Emily who took it, frowning. "There's some leftover pasta in the fridge, you could heat it up if you're hungry. I'll be off to sleep. Good night." Alison kissed her cheek before she skedaddled to their room. Emily felt herself crying as well.
