"Hannah! I am back!" bellowed Nancy as she entered the Drew's kitchen. All three girls gathered around Hannah to see what special dish she was preparing this time. As they got closer the aroma of food permeated the air. They knew she was preparing one of her signature dishes, the---Steak with cheddar cheese, French fries pizza and at the corner was the .....strawberry lemonade drink!!
Noticing that, the girls immediately remembered the reason for their return to the kitchen. THEY NEEDED TO PERSUADE HANNAH FOR THE SECRET RECIPE!!!
"Hannah?"called Bess from behind her back. As Hannah turned around to see Bess, all three girls immediately chirped," Please Hannah can you please give u the recipe..please please and pl.." before they could finish their sentences. Hannah who was busy pouring the drink into 3 glasses, said,"haha! You guys are not going to leave me right if I don't give you the recipe?":) Without thinking George blurted out a YES.
"So as long as you do not spill out the beans....I am fine to lend you my lemonade recipe's secret. As long as you guys are happy...so get ready with a pen and pencil" The girls did a quick High 5 in the air and immediately rummaged for a pen and paper. However George who had everything ready, immediately gave Nancy the Presto Pen and the stick notes she had. As Hannah went on saying the ingredients, Nancy scribbled them on the stick notes.
After finishing it, Nancy was about to return the pen and the stick note back to George...when George said,"Keep it with you Nancy. It might bring us luck".
Then the girls went to Nancy's room where they printed some pictures of Katy Sloan. This was like a motivation to them to earn enough money for her concert. Before heading to the supermarket to buy the ingredients needed, the girls pasted the pictures on the counter and even on the jars. Then they headed straight to the market.
THIS ARE THE INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
•HONEY
•STRAWBERRIES --2 BOWLS FOR 1 JAR OF LEMONADE
•SALT--A PINCH
• MILK ---HALF A CARTON FOR 1 JAR OF
• LEMON
This recipe is going to be a success. Wait till for the next chapter to see how the three friends come up with their plan.
