The noise was louder then I remembered, my eyes squinted as the gun sent bursts of light all over the room. Screams were echoing from all around, though who’s I couldn’t yet know. I shot in an arch, avoiding the centre of the room. They liked to keep their victims central. That only made me panic more. The trigger clicked, finishing the clip. I ran into the room, two men were still alive, looking rather angry. Lucifer sat in the middle. Blood covered him, soaking through his clothes and dripping from his hands and forehead. All I saw was red as I ran towards the first man. How dare they hurt him. The knife cut through flesh as easy as butter, blood covered my fingers making them slick. There was a revolver hanging out of his waistband, I pulled the trigger, firing into his abdomen before turning it on my next opponent. I recognised his face. He was one of the men who helped bring me here, I smiled, knowing the blood on my face scared him.
“Settle down, we can work something out…” he held up his hands in surrender. I laughed.
“Settle down? You evil bastard.” I gritted my teeth and aimed the revolver, taking out his kneecap. He fell to the floor screaming. He rolled over, clutching his leg. Standing above him, I watched him scream.
“Is that how I looked...” I suddenly screamed out “Is that how I looked when you raped me!” I fired into his skull, repeatedly. Even when the gun finished clicking, I kept firing. Tears were running down my face, I was wailing. The gun dropped from my hand and my knees buckled in.
“Anita…” I heard Lu whisper my name. He was tied to the chair with cable ties. They were cutting into his wrists; I crawled over, still crying. The knife shook in my hand as I tried to cut him free. The plastic snapped with sound that seemed to echo through the room. He smiled weakly. Oh god Lu. I cried more, starting to hiccup. Tears fell down his cheeks, mixing in with his blood. “You’re here… you’re finally here.” He kissed my lips tenderly, hands gently laying on my cheeks.
I guess it was time to leave now.
