Sleeping- Something almost every living being does to recover from a hard day's work. Something that you were struggling to get. It was true that you were scared of the dark, but you had always had a light so if you got scared, you would still be able to look around and calm down. What on earth was it that caused you to have sleepless nights?

~~~~~~~~~
It was another restless night. You tossed and turned but your head was still buzzing, even after almost 4 days of no sleep. "Come on, brain! Please let me sleep!" You muttered to yourself. Letting out a sigh, you knew you weren't going to get any rest so you looked out of a large window to see the glistening moon, shining its light. "I guess I'm gonna stay up with you again, Mr. Moon." You giggle at your own child-like behavior. On your second day of sleeplessness, you had begun to talk to the moon, seeing as it was your only source of comfort.
"You know, Ciel is visiting tomorrow! Remember, the one I was talking about? It's been a year since we've seen each other in person! Don't worry, I'll tell you all about what we did together next night for sure!" You had come to accept the fact that your insomnia wasn't going to leave you any soon so you let things be as it was and talked to the moon instead of being stuck in the silence.
When Ciel was here, you would always be able to sleep but now, he was busy on a business trip so you were left on your own. You yearned for his gentle touches and small smiles but at this point, you couldn't do anything about it. Maybe that was the reason for your insomnia. Ciel not being here was an oddity since you have been together since childhood, not wanting to separate. You smiled at the thought of Ciel but was immediately replaced with fear as you heard your front door open with a loud screech since the sound was always amplified at night. Every scratch, scream, and noise could be heard in the dark.
You were scared out of your mind. How could this happen to you? What on earth did you do to be forsaken with such luck? You calculated all the possible things that you could try to escape.Should you run? Or maybe hide? You couldn't possibly confront them since you were so fragile and weak so you chose latter- hide. You quickly but silently ran to your closet, trying your best not to make a sound. There was a soft creak in the dark which you knew was coming from your creaky door. It was the only one in your house to make such a noise.
A few moments later, you see a silhouette walk right up to your room and it appeared as if it was confused. It kept everything within you not to scream your brains out. "Where on earth is that girl? It's like 4 in the morning. I come all the way from London to surprise her and she isn't even here!" A familiar voice calls. Wait, Ciel? Is that really him. A gasp emits from my mouth and instantly, caught the figure's attention. "(y/n), don't tell me that you're in the closet." The voice calls.
Before I could even reply, my closet doors opened, revealing that indeed was Ciel. "Darling, what are you doing here in the closet? More importantly, why are you still up? It's so early in the morning! Did you even get any sleep?" Ciel bombarded me with questions. "Well, I thought you were a burglar or murderer, I'm awake because of my stupid insomnia, and no I didn't get any sleep at all this night," I answer, my face down and full of shame. "Stay right there and don't move a muscle." Ciel commands. Without even trying, you move your head up, out of confusion. "Y/n, what did I tell you?" He sighs. You quietly relay his order and follow through with it.
It felt like ages of just looking down at the floor that your whole body was feeling sore. With the sounds of furniture moving around and occasional chair screeching, you began to hum to yourself a small melody. "You can look up now." Ciel's smooth voice once again fills the room. With your head now up high, you see that he had strategically created a small little pillow fort that had enough space to fit two people. "Ciel, why on earth did you make this?" You ask out curiosity. "Well, you did say that you liked creating and falling asleep in these so I thought I might as well make one for us and see if it might do the trick." He explained.
It was true, you had always loved to build pillow forts and it was just a bonus to sleep in one and treat it like a real house. You smiled at the memory of a younger self in a small little fort of your own, looking at the 'stars' that you drew on. What made you even happier was that you had told Ciel about your weird liking to pillow forts over 2 years ago, yet he remembered. What a great boyfriend he was.
"What are you looking for? Aren't you going to go inside or are you just going to stare at it all day?" Ciel giggles and takes your hand and leads you into the small haven.
Inside was the small little lamp you were using a little while ago, a small coffee table with a few drinks and food on top of it and of course, pillows and blankets. It was surprisingly well built and stayed up well above your head. You were so caught up on looking around the fort that you hadn't even realized that Ciel was already under the sheets with a drink in hand, waiting for you to get into the sheets and cuddle with him already.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was about an hour before you felt tired. You let out a yawn, and settle down to your cold pillow and right next to Ciel's warm chest. He wraps his arms around you and puts his head on top of yours. It was the most comfortable place to be; in Ciel's arms under a warm blanket. You snuggle into his chest and almost fall asleep instantly only after hearing Ciel coo in your ear, "Goodnight, my princess, you deserve it."
