It was weird walking into school and not knowing anyone, without Harry by my side. Forcing a nervous smile onto my face I made my way down to reception to find out where my form room is and pick up my time table.

"Name please, dear."

"Alex Middleton." I smiled at the middle aged reception lady.

"Ahh yes, here you are. New today I see from England, very nice. Well I might as well give you a time table now, and this also has your form written on it to. It's actually only 5 rooms down on the left"

"Thank you very much!" I smiled again at the reception lady before heading down the corridor to my form room. As I arrived the room the door was already open so I slipped in and took a seat at the back off the room before anyone else arrived. Not only 5 minutes of me sitting in my seat by myself scrolling down my twitter feed another girl entered the room.

"Oh uh, hi" I say looking up at the girl that just entered.

Her hair is a dark brown colour, darker then mine which falls just under her bust and she wears a chirpy smile. She was pretty, much like all the other girls I'd seen here, but this was a natural beauty. She only wore light make up, maybe just mascara but she was beautiful anyway.

"Hey" she smiled at me welcoming. Not making me feel awkward at all. "Mind if I sit with you?"

"No not at all."

Moving my bag off the seat next to me I smile at her. "I'm Alex" I introduce myself.

"Megan" she smiles again. "So you're new here?"

"Yeah, I moved here last week from England"

"Oh awesome, I've been there on holiday. It's cold though." She laughs.

"Yes, here is a lot warmer!"

We carried on with our conversation, telling one another about ourselves, me obviously missing out the part about my past, as the room started to fill with other people. It was easy talking to Megan and I could feel my nerves melting away. I was no where near as nervous as I was when walking to Dylan at the beach, but then Megan isn't a guy that I picture as perfect.

Wait perfect?

Once our form tutor arrived she went through all the normal teacher talk about rules and regulations and how we're expected to behave, me and Megan quietly continuing our conversation. When everyone had our time tables handed out a little later me and Megan were more then pleased to find out that all of our classes were together. I was glad to know someone in all my classes. At least I wasn't completely alone.

Once the bell had sounded for us to leave form me and Megan left together. Her showing me where out next lesson is. We sat next to each other during our next lessons and carried on talking and I was glad that I had met her. We spent break together as well and then headed to our next lesson, Maths.

That's when my stomach started doing somersaults again. I saw him, stood there right in front of me, back lent against the wall, blonde hair quiffed and ocean blue eyes sparkling as always. That beautiful grin spread across his face. And the dimple.

"Earth to Al, I asked what you're doing after school today?"

"Oh um, sorry. Nothing I don't think, I'll probably end up at the beach like normal, I don't really no any places around here yet other than the beach and cliffs and park near where I live."

"Well why don't I show you around then? How far do you live from the mall?"

"Not far, about 5 minutes in the car, it'll only take me 15 to walk there."

"Well it's sorted then, I'll meet you at the fountain about half 4? We can get an ice cream or something!"

I was more then pleased that I had made at least one friend so far, more then pleased that she was happy with meeting up with me to. I don't know Megan to well yet but I could tell we'll become good friends. I was looking forward to spending some time with someone instead of sitting at home or being at the beach by myself.

Of course I enjoy it, being by myself, but since being here I've started to feel more lonely. It was nice to know someone properly now.

Throughout the rest of maths, no matter how much I tried to concentrate on what our teacher was saying or what Megan was muttering under her breath to me I couldn't keep my thoughts of Dylan. He hasn't even acknowledged yet, but when I was with him on the beach he seemed so talkative. "Told you he didn't like you" my self conscience told me in the back of my mind. Why though? I didn't do anything wrong did I?

By the end of maths I had worked myself up so much by over thinking. I don't even know what my problem is, I keep telling myself that we're not even friends yet but I couldn't help felling disappointed he hadn't spoken to me. As the bell went me and Megan stood from our seats and packed our stuff into our bags for lunch. Just as I was about to leave for the door I felt a light tug on my elbow.

"Al?"

I jump slightly not expecting anyone to know my name, but as I turned around once again a stupid smile spread across my face.

"Hey Dylan."

"I though it was you but I wasn't sure. You look, different."

"I mean nice you, you look very nice. I like you hair like that!" He gushes out.

I look down trying to hide my red cheeks with my hair as I blushed. His words completely whipping away the previous negative thoughts I was having.

"Aww, thanks Dylan." I manage to get out without making a fool of myself again stuttering although my heart felt as if it was beating twice as fast as it should be.

"No problem" he returned, his time to blush now. "Anyway, I better be off, I'll see you around soon, maybe another surf tonight?"

"Yeah maybe." I smiled at him again before being dragged away by Megan.

"And how the hell do you already know Dylan Rowe?" Megan whisper shouts as we walk away from him, me still holding a silly grin on his face after his compliment.
