"Was that a boy I just saw you with your arms around, Alex?"

I love my mum but she can be so embarrassing sometimes.

"Yeah, why?"

"So is he your boyfriend?"

"Mum, we've only known each other one week, of course we're not going out!" Yet, I secretly add onto the end.

"Hmm, ok then." Mum chuckled before heading back into the kitchen and me up to my room.

I sit down on my bed and replay through my head then events of today.

I really did enjoy every second with Dylan. He was easy to be with and his smile was so contagious. Did I really want to kiss him, back then? I've never felt like this about a boy before. The only boy I've only really been friends with is Harry and of course I could never have feelings for him, that would just be weird...

I startled when I was interrupted by my phone notifications going off 3 times, one after another.

I grabbed my phone hastily from my bag and check the messages.

One from Harry, finally! One from Megan, and another, from Dylan!?

Why was he text me already?

I opened up Harry's text first seeing as I had waited so long for his reply!

Hey Al, sorry I took so long to reply I've been spending a lot of time with Niall. He's so funny! I'm glad school went well and you're making friends. We'll skype each other soon, yeah? - Haz xx

Talk about slow replies;) I'm glad you're friends with him. Yes definitely! - Al xx

I next look at Megan's text.

How did tonight go? Where did he take you? - Meg x

Tonight was fab, we went to the arcade. I'll explain all tomorrow;) - Al x

Lastly I opened Dylan's text. Why on earth was he texting me, he only just left? Maybe he hates me and didn't want to be horrible to my face. Or he doesn't want to walk to school tomorrow.

Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to say thank you again! - Dyl xx

He was so cute! He had said thank you countless times. Was this a good sign? Do boys normally text you after a date? This is all so new to me.

Haha no it's fine. Thank you for taking me, again! - Al xx

... ... ... ...

After doing my hair and make up the same as yesterday I stood anxiously in the kitchen waiting for Dylan to come to my door. It was already 8.15 and I was beginning to worry that Dylan wasn't going to arrive.

As if someone had read my thoughts there was a sharp knock at the door. Grabbing my bag and saying goodbye to my mum I opened it to be greeted my Dylan's bright eyes and bold smile.

"Morning Newbie."

My stomach fluttered for the 100th time, not helping by the nick name he has adopted for me.

We walked to school together, him laughing over how "disoriented" I am in the mornings. Me pouting at him teasing me, pretending he had upset me.

As we entered school together Meg practically ran over to me pulling me into a hug and whispering "look at you two" into my ear.

"I'll see you later." Dylan excused himself whilst flashing me a smile.

"So you have a lot to tell me!" Meg gushed as we walked to registration together.

By the time we had entered our form room and sat in the same seats as yesterday whilst waiting for our teacher to arrive, I had explained everything that had happened yesterday, where he took me, what we did and the teddy he had secretly won for me, which is now sitting on my window seat. I also told her about him texting me shortly after he left and she assured me it's a very good sign.

"Is it bad that I wanted to kiss him? After the hug?" I couldn't help but ask. Meg had obviously had a lot more experience with boys compared to me.

"I wouldn't say it was a bad thing." She smiled at me.

I could feel a but coming.

"But, I wouldn't rush anything just yet. You only know him a little over a week. Just be patient. I'm pretty sure he likes you."

"I know. I don't to mess anything up, but.." I pause thinking about what I was just about to say.

"I mean, I think I like him."

Before Megan could reply the whole of our form had arrived as well as out teacher who immediately started with the register.

 ... ... ... ...

I walked home with Sophie again after school. We chatted over our English assignment we had been set and what we were going to write about and then she carelessly told me about this boy she had liked "since forever" and how they had finally got together.

I laughed at how dramatic she made the story out to be, how apparently it was completely obvious that they had liked each other, yet he was to scared to make the first move and she refused to as she was the girl.

Once I reached home, instead of going to the beach straight away, I decided on going on a run seeing as I've only been once since last week.

I got changed as soon as I got in into my running kit and grabbed a water bottle to take with me as it was still hot at this time of the day.

Just as I pass Dylan's house to cross onto the path I heard someone shouting behind me. I turn around to see no else but Dylan of course, running down the road towards me, only wearing his boardies whilst carrying his board.

"Not going for a surf?" He asks although it's already clear that I'm not.

"No, I'm actually going for a run." I nervously smile at him.

"Oh right." A hint of disappointment crosses his face, but he quickly recovers it with a smile.

"Will you come and join me later?"

I smile at him due to him wanting me to join him.

"Yeah sure." I smile again.

I was only out running for 20 minutes before I was back at my house, changing into my bikini and boardies of my own before getting my board and rushing down to the beach.

And there he was, lying on his board. Hands behind his head looking up at the sky. His eyes sparkling and his body causing me to rake my eyes across him, again.

AN: Don't guys just completely and utterly suck sometimes!? They're so frustrating! Why can't they all be like we characters we write about?

Ok, I hope you enjoy this chapter. Let me know what you think:) Thank you so much for all the support you've been giving me:) Love you all xx
