CASEY
"Where are you taking me?" I ask him as I feel excitement rush in my veins.
"You'll see." He says with a sheepish smile and I smile back.
"Is it far? Why are we not going back to the house? Are we not gonna get clothes?" I speak in a rush.
"I see you're excited. Like I said, we're going out of Europe until we need to go back for the gala and, no need for clothes Casey." He says while his eyes are on the road.
"Where?" I prolong this. Wait, did he say no need for clothes?
"And what do you mean when you said the last part?" I ask and he just takes a glance at me and smirks. I smack his arm.
"What? I meant there's no need to bring them. I already informed Nathan to prepare our clothes. Unless you don't want me to wear any?" He chuckles when he sees how flustered I am. Damn the bloody bastard.
"Whatever. I've seen better husband." I smirk and his expression changes a bit.
"That's why you should try to see me. I'm the best." He smirks at me.
"Eyes on the road Bridgerton! This is going to be my first time to be going on a trip outside of the continent and I want to arrive to where we're going alive and healthy." I speak with seriousness.
"Alright Mrs. Bridgerton, your wish is my command." He shouts and averts his eyes back on the road.
"Remind me why we are trying to be civil again?" I asked him with an annoyed voice.
"Because Casey, we are public figures and we are going to be seen everywhere. If we cannot stop arguing they're going to suspect we are fake." Right. We're fake. I roll my eyes as I hear this, he can't see me rolling them anyways.
"Plus, you're going to be stuck with me for the rest of your life and I stuck with you, so the best way to survive is to be friends." He says with a sigh. Like he's contented with his reasons.
"You're right. So since we're going to play husband and wife, and we didn't really use all the fake dating before to get to know each other since we really hated each other, let's get to know each other. We also have a lot of time, I'll have to drive us to the airport." He says as he steals a glance at me. I look at him with amusement.
"Okay, so 20 questions?" I ask him. "Yeah, let's do that. You start." He answers back.
"Okay I'll start simple. What's your favorite color?" I ask. "What's the color of your dress?" He answers back with a question. "It's red." I look at it while answering.
"Then that answers your question. Okay my turn. What type of season do you like?" He asks.
"Winter. I like snow and just everything about it." I smile while thinking about it. "What's your favorite thing to do when not busy with business?" I ask.
"Watch movies or play baseball." He chuckles. "What type of music are you into?" He glances at me.
"All types of music. From classics to EDM. I love them." I answer happily.
And we continue to ask each other until we ran out of questions. I guess I can tolerate the devil. This is a surprise, but he's still who he is. I guess being civil with him will really help me with this marriage. Getting to know him actually makes me understand him more. He still has mood swings though. One minute he's carefree and teasing me, and then the next he's silent, cold or being a jerk. Maybe even all the negatives at the same time. There's just so much a bout him that I find mysterious. He also seems familiar.
