Everything is white and cold. The tiny variety of snowflakes cover the ground and anything it can get its small, symmetrical hands on. Icicles hang sharply upside down as it disguises itself as muggle weapons. Ice covers the windows and the frost cold weather makes me feel happy that I'm inside.

"Eliza!" a orotund voice rings out, "are you excited for Christmas?" I shrug my shoulders, turning around picking up my books in the process. I meet some almond, brown eyes with gold flakes mixed into them. The boys smiles fades, as he realizes that my excitement is somewhere else. "What's wrong?" he asks, "why aren't you excited?"

I sigh deeply and roll my eyes. "Oh nothing." I say in a small voice. The shaggy haired boy rises his eyes and shakes his head. "Oh really? Then why do you look so depressed?"

We walk into the hallway standing side by side. The chatters in the hallways is surprisingly mellow for it being a few hours until all of us will go home for the Holidays... well most of us that is.

"Ryan, you don't get it," I say thickly, "I rather stay here."

His face drops as if I ruined his life for the first time. "And why's that" He snaps, "What is it that I don't get?" I sigh really loud just as Draco appears. "Griswold, are you excited?"

Ryan shifts his body so he is standing tall and mighty. "Always." I say monotonous. Draco smirks a little. "So you know that I am suppose to stay over for a couple days, right?" My eyes pop open while I stop in the middle of the hallway trying to process what Draco just said. "What" both Ryan and myself shout kismet. "You didn't get the letter?" he asks.

"What letter?" I demand to him.
"What letter? Eliza, you get a letter from your parents at least once a month. Even I know that."

I stand there as my cheeks start to heat up, and they start to turn a bright pink. "I never received a letter stating that you were going to be there. Great, now everything is going to be worse."

I can see Draco's face drop like Ryan's did a few minutes ago, but he is trying hard to hide it as he looks away just as his cheeks turn red.

"You probably ignored the letter, just like you do your parents."

My heart starts racing, and everything starts to turn. My vision blurs as I start to feel the tiny wet droplets drip down my face. I turn away from the two running down the hall while I tuck my head down so nobody could see me in this state.

In the corner of my eye, I see many people looking curiously at me and some tilting their heads asking me if I'm okay. Obviously ignoring them, I continue to run down the hallway not paying any attention to where I am headed.

When I finally look up, I am somewhere in the basement.  There's barely any light as a golden tint glows slightly showing the way. Spider webs hang at the top of the walls and some little insects are stuck into the sticky death trap.

Aww poor bugs. I think to myself. I wonder if they know that their lives are about to be over or if they are asleep before they find out?

I hear some footsteps coming from behind me and some whispers too. I look left and right debating on where to go or if I should stay here.

Oh crap, what if I'm in the out of bounds area?

Running once again, I decide I rather not risk getting in trouble, and run towards the dark hallway where the temperature feels cooler and co.  I realize that I have never been in this part of the building before and I think I am lost.

Where am I? How do I get out of here?

I slide down the wall to where I am sitting on the cold hard ground. The tears that just dried, become wet once more until I feel my eyes rest for a little.

Dark. Everything is dark. There is not a single speck of light, but instead a voice. It's a gentle voice- the voice in my dreams.

So calming and relaxing that the voice makes me feel at home. It feels so good, that I am smiling for the first time unconditionally and I have no desire to scream or cry.

Slowly, but surely, the darkness fades away showing two black figures and a third one laying on a bed.  The figure laying on the bed is smaller than the two that is sitting on the side of its bed.

I can barely make out what they are saying, but I can feel the vibrations of their voices and the sound of calmness. As they talk, the figure laying on the bed finally twitches which startles the two.

They look at one another surprised then look back at the bed smiling and waving with joy.

They do this for a few minutes as they begin to shake the figure in hopes to wake it up, as it looks like. Their smile begins to fade and so does them.

Once more darkness begins to take over until I completely see nothing but black. This time, there's no sound and the sense of happiness gets ripped away from me until there's nothing left. Just plain and utter darkness.

"Aren't you going to be late?"

I open my eyes suddenly looking all around me to find Snape looking at me with his eyes rise up.

My heart races as I look all around me. I was still on the ground in the dark hallway.  "What time is it?" I ask while a yawn escapes my mouth.

Snape looks unimpressed as he doesn't move a single muscle. "I would assume you would know as it's time to board the train."

My face drops and turns a pale white. I had to move. I dare wouldn't miss the train. My parents are already pissed.

I run and grab my things, as I look back I see Snape smirk and turn around. Leaving me with my thoughts and that wonderful dream.
