I couldn't really sleep that night, despite the quite comfortable bed. In the morning, I fell out of bed (literally), slung my satchel over my shoulder, and stumbled out the door. I had fallen asleep in my clothes, staying up late to work on my route, so I didn't need to change.

As I entered the lobby, the man working there deadpanned, "You look like a zombie."

"Feel like one, too," I groaned.

I faint smile crossed his face. "Have a nice journey, Miss."

"Yeah, you too..." I mumbled in my half-awake daze. I slowly made my way over to the eating...place. Wow. I'm so exhausted I can't even think straight.

Penny stood in the doorway, cheerful as ever. "Good morning, Kaylie!"

"More like terrible morning..." I muttered.

    "No sleep?" She guessed.

I shook my head, "Nothing but tossing and turning."

"Something on your mind?" She questioned, head tilted to the side.

"Just stress about my journey, I guess," Ok. My half-lying skills are still operating. Why isn't anything else?!

The red-head nodded, "Ah, right. Hungry?"

    "You don't even know."

"Then get your butt in here and eat!" she giggled.

I laughed as well. "Alright, alright, I'm coming! No need to be pushy..." I dragged my feet into the diner.

Due to lack of sleep, my thoughts this morning weren't exactly coherent. However, one chain managed to actually complete itself. In a way.

Penny is a lot like Galeah...kind, funny, friendly...huh. Weird.

As soon as I landed in a chair, a plate was set in front of me. On it sat biscuits and...I think gravy. Hey, don't blame the girl who lived on solely meat for the past seven years for not being able to identify food. I looked up to see Sabrina, her purple eyes shining.
"Morning!"

"Morning..." I said sleepily. "Why do I already have food?"

The teen replied, "Sis told me you were tired and hungry, so I grabbed some of my breakfast to give you."

I immediately pushed the plate towards her, shaking my head. "I can't take your food. It would be rude. I can always hunt."

"No, no!" Sabrina shook her hands in front of her face. "It's really fine! I can cook more!"

I sighed in defeat. "Fine, fine." I looked at the plate, evaluating how to eat it. After a sluggish analysis, I just picked up the golden-brown bread, and drowned it in gravy. I brought it to my mouth, and took the first bite.

    It.

    Was.

    Heavenly.

I pretty much tore the poor biscuit to shreds. By the time I was done, no crumbs were left. Sabrina cracked up laughing.

"H-Hey!" My cheeks burned in embarrassment. "Quit laughing!"

"Can't...help...too...funny!" she managed to choke out between laughs.
I am so glad we're the only ones on here, I thought.
