Bruce's POV
Yesterday I found out the newest member of the team was Ally Collins. The last time I saw her was 5 years ago. I had no idea she had super powers. When she walked out she said she had too many secrets. Now I know she meant her powers. She looked the same now only more fit and happy. I think it might have just been me but I saw sadness in her eyes. Like she was broken. I was broken when my parents died. Alfred had helped me heal but I still feel the pain. I decided to research Ally's past and found out her sister was shot at the age of seven. A police report showed Ally was hurt trying to save her sister. Her sister died from a gunshot to the head. Reports following up showed Ally had taken 5 years of therapy classes after the death of her sister. I don't think they helped. Therapy only helps people hide how broken they are inside.

In the dining hall, Ally walked in with Flash. She looked nervous and tense. She walked over to get a food tray and sat down next to Hawkgirl. They were talking when Flash sat down next to me. He told me he had found Ally hitting a punching bag so hard it broke. I didn't know she had super strength. I hadn't noticed but Shayera and Ally had picked up their trays and walked over to sit next to Flash and I. Ally still looked nervous but a little less tense. Shayera sat next to Wally and Ally sat next to me with a noticeable hesitance. I did look scary. After Shayera and Ally sat down, Flash said "Two beautiful ladies eating lunch with me at the same time. I could do this more often!"
Ally said,"Thanks Flash I could use a friend...or two." She smiled but the same look of being broken was in her eyes. No one else saw it. Her knuckles were red. Probably hurt from breaking the punching bag. She noticed me looking at her knuckles and put her hands under the table.
"I must have hurt my hands somehow."
She didn't want me to know about the punching bag. I didn't ask. I had liked her five years ago. She was happy and curious. Now she looked the same but only tense and slightly angry. Maybe I still like her. But she didn't know Bruce Wayne was Batman.
