Chapter Six.

"That was terrible."

"Who knew you were such a good swimmer Vi."

"And such a good runner." Collin says, anger clear in his voice.

"Can we just forget that ever happened?" Florence complains.

The swimming challenge went better than expected. Turns out I'm a pretty good swimmer. I got third overall but I was the first girl done, Niall finished first and Jason finished second. The running one went really good. I got second, Jason got first, and Niall got third. Collin and Florence weren't even in the top ten.

"I'm not as good as Jason though!" I say to the table.

"Well we expected it from him! He's good at everything." Collin says.

"Am not." Jason says.

"Are too." Collin replies.

"So tomorrow is the weapons challenge. Excited?" Florence asks me.

"Very. I'm ready for all these challenges to be over though." Collin says.

"You know the highest ranks get their choices at jobs." She tells the table.

"I know." I say, pushing around my mashed potatoes on my plate.

"Oh no this isn't good! She's not eating her most favorite food of all time." Jason says.

"I'm just not hungry, everything is fine." I say.

But everything isn't fine. Niall hasn't talked to me since our last kiss and I can't get him out of my mind. All I want is for him to say at least one thing to me, even if that one thing I rude.

"What do you have planned tonight?" I ask Jason.

"Um nothing." He says.

"Meet me on the roof at ten."

"Okay." He says, slightly confused.

I have to do something to get Niall out of my head. I think Jason likes me so he could help. Plus we're are going on a date next week, he would be a good boyfriend. I just have to do something or I'll go crazy. I'm not usually like this but I can't help it; Niall makes me feel alive and excited. If he won't talk to me then I'll just make him jealous.
