Chapter 3

Campbell left this morning. He didn't want to come see me because he said that him having to say goodbye would break his heart. To be honest, it would of broke mine too. It's going to be weird with him gone. Especially when he comes back just for prom and then leaves again.

To cheer me up, my best friend Casey invited me to go to the mall with her and I gladly accepted. Overnight the news of Campbell leaving spread like wildfire and so now pretty much everyone knew at East High Academy.

I prepared myself to leave, grabbed my car keys, and left. I didn't bother to tell my parents because they're never home to see me anyways so what would the big deal be if I went to the mall without telling them?

Both of my parents were lawyers and they always worked some crazy hours. Sometimes they both were out of state for some case. It's been like this since I can remember. Most kids would go insane about this life style but to be quite honest, I've gotten used to it.

Anyways, I drove off on my way to Casey's house. Casey has been my best friend since 7th grade. She's been there through everything, even though I never really talk to her about my problems and thoughts. But she does frequently talk about hers. She's gone through cutting and multiple suicide attempts, but I'm happy she's still here and I'm happy that even though we fight and break off our friendship, we always come back to each other. As it is, we're both going to study to be a teacher and we're both going to work at EHA.

I pulled up in front of her house and honked my horn signalling that I had arrived and that she needs to get out here. She finally walked out in a pretty sundress and got in my car.

"Hey," she smiled while getting in, "feeling any better?"

I sighed, "Yeah.. just trying to not think about it y'know?"

Our whole car ride pretty much consisted of what the newest thing One Direction did and how they can be such amazing human beings. One Direction is pretty much how we bond anymore. I got her into the whole fangirl life and now it seems like she can't get out. But sometimes, i feel like it's the only thinking keeping her from either being dead or in a mental hospital, but hey. I'm not complaining.

"Tori! We've got to go in Claire's. They've got a sale on One Direction merch!"

I smiled largley. "If I wasn't carrying all these bags, I'd say that I'd race you but to be 100% honest.. I'm just too lazy."

"I get it," she giggled "I just hope that no one steals all of our merch." Casey smiled and began to walk with me again.

We finally made it into Claire's and it wasn't as packed as it usually is which is quite surprising. There were a couple of younger girls begging their Moms and Dads for the newest piece of jewelry. There was a little girl, probably no older than 8, looking at the One Direction shelves. She seemed to be accompanied by her brother too. She would point at Louis and say he was her favorite. It was the cutest thing too.

Casey stopped in her steps. "Tori, don't look now, but that little girl's brother is Marcel."

I looked without trying to be too obvious. "Marcel as in geeky, nerdy Marcel? There's no way."

Suddenly the boy looked our way and sure enough, it was Marcel. He smiled at us and began to wave. "H-Hi girls. Nice seeing you h-here.." He seemed a bit nervous.

"Hi Marcel," I began "what brings you to Claire's? The store seems a little.. girlish, don't you think?" I laughed.

Marcel stepped out from behind his sister and got closer to Casey and I. "Oh, I'm just here for my little sister. She wanted to look at all the Louis stuff considering he is her favorite of them all." He stopped for a moment. "Who's your favorite, Tori?"

I pondered for a moment. "Hmm. I'd have to say Harry or Niall. Niall because he's cute and Irish, and Harry because..well look at him."

"Oh.." Marcel seemed a little upset in my choice of boys. "Some say that I kind of look like Harry. You know, when I don't gel my hair back and wear my contacts."

"Well maybe you should come to school like that if you really do look like Harry Styles. You'll have all the girls falling for you." I said as I meandered through all the merch.

I could see him smile from the corner of my eye and then he began to get really nervous. Casey had run off to God knows where and it was just Marcel, his little sister, and I still here.

He looked down and began talking. "I heard about Campbell. And I feel so bad that he left you like that. And I was wondering if you'd like to go to prom with me?"

"Marcel.." I began without knowing how to finish. I couldn't break the poor boy's heart, but I couldn't say yes either. "I'll tell you what. If things won't work out between Cam and I. I'll go with you, okay? But only under one condition."

He smiled brightly. "Anything for you, Tori."

"You have to dress nice."

"That will be no problem." He began to walk away as if he had something super important to do now. "I won't let you down, Tori. I promise!" He yelled while walking out of the store quickly with his little sister's hand in his.

I smiled and shook my head. That boy was on a mission. The sad thing is, I don't know if I'd actually go with him."

I got lost in my thoughts when Casey showed back up.

"What was that all about?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I have two dates to prom."

------------------------------------------

So. School really fucking sucks okay. And then. Boys. Oh god. Boys. I hate them. Whatever. My problems I guess. I hope you enjoy this considering its 1:30 AM and Tori was going to bite my head off if I didn't update.

But I guess now she has to write me my long and sentimental letter because that was the deal. Get writing, love. <3

p.s. sorry it's short. :(
