"Ugh Austin!" Lizzie walks over to her 11 year old brother and pulls him from behind the door. "I thought I told you to stay out of my room. You can't come in. Your a tornado on legs."

"Awe Lizzie! Come on I won't touch or destroy anything I swear." He groaned.

"Why do you even want to be here? This is a girls room, go to your room. You have a TV in there. You'll be fine." Lizzie continued to walk him towards the door. She held the door a waved her hand for him to get out.

"Yes but I also have a clingy 5 year old sister who refuses to leave my room unless I make her pancakes." Austin was crossing his arms now, Nailing himself to the ground.

"Why is Kelly in your room? You usually have the door closed. And who cares just make the bug a pancake."

"Well if it was that easy I would have done it. But what am I supposed to do with the left over mix Sherlock?"

"Make more pancakes and give them to me. Duh. Now shoo" Lizzie quickly shoved Austin out and locked her door before he could protest. She slowly left the door then dived for her phone and plugged it in for a short while. It was time to get ready for work so her phone had time to charge.

She worked about to blocks away from her family's apartment. It was a small shop in the mall, it was called Stans Entertainment Shop  when she first applied for the job but after poor old Stan had passed away, his daughter Abigail took over and renamed it, Quest. No one was sure why she changed it to that, but she explained it was a personal reason and it involved a saying her dad always gave her.

Ever since Lizzie had been young she would visit this little shop and so working there always brings back childhood memories. She grabbed her Navy blue T-shirt, her nametag, and of course her house keys. Her hair was naturally wavy so she but it into her usual ponytail, and stuck her favorite galactic bow to top it off. It was almost time for her shift so she quickly grabbed her phone, wallet, and put on some lipstick. As she left her room she smelled pancakes, which caused her to laugh cause Kelly  got her brother to make food.

Her thoughts were proven to be correct as she passed the kitchen and saw Austin trying to impress Kelly by flipping the pancake in the air, of course he failed but that just cause the little girl to giggle at her older brother. Austin didn't really show it but it was obvious he would do anything for Kelly, he really took care of her. Lizzie's mom wouldn't get home till late so she pulled the usual sticky notes from her cupboard and wrote to her mother that she loved her and would be back soon.

This was  a common weekday at this household; mom came home at night, cooked breakfast in the morning, and them took them all to school. Then it would be Lizzie's turn to play mom, she would take the 20 minute walk from school and home, grab her car, pick up her siblings, come back home make them a snack, homework, then get ready for work. That was then Austin's turn to look over everything, he was only home alone with Kelly for 3 hours with the only chores being to clean and make sure Kelly doesn't do anything bad. Then it all repeats till the weekend. That's when the family goes and cruises around and shops.

Lizzie kissed Austin and Kelly's head after telling them bye before she left. As she pulled into the Quest parking lot she noticed that so far not many people had arrived. Quest was a interesting shop. They sold candies, video games, anime's, CDs, slushies, and they even had karaoke with an arcade. This was one reason Lizzie really liked the job, since there was many different things in the shop she could answer different questions and fix different things instead of doing the same thing over and over. She put her phone on silent and entered the building. Milly was the first person she saw, they exchanged greetings as Lizzie walked to the employee room to clock in and put her keys in her locker. Milly had told her that she was going to start her shift at the candy section register, so she quickly punched her card in and left to her destination.  Time to get her 5 hour shift started.

It was a long day at work and Lizzie was ready to climb into bed and sleep it all out. She slipped the keys into the door and quietly made her way inside, everyone would be sleeping by now. Sneaking into the kitchen to get herself some juice before she quickly tip toed to her room. When she opened her bedroom door the smell of pancakes greeted her on top of her dresser stood a small plate of pancakes with a took pick with a paper taped on it. "here ya go sis. I'm expecting sweets for this."  Lizzie couldn't help but smile. She ate a couple and put the rest in the kitchen microwave for tomorrows breakfast.

After preparing her outfit for the next day, Lizzie, yawned and crept onto her beds under the sheets. Ready to repeat the day yet again tomorrow. Little did she know, it was going to be slightly different.
