Meeting Dark

I was sitting on the couch watching 'The Help," when I got a text message. I groan as I reach over to see who was texting me, it was my best friend, Mark. I smile as I read his text, "Hey (y/n), can you come over today?" I never have anything to do besides hang out with Mark so I quickly reply. "Sure, I'll be there soon."

With that, I walk into my bedroom and walk towards my wardrobe. I look inside, trying to decide on what to wear. I finally lock my eyes on an outfit my sister, Bri, had bought for me a while back. It consisted of pitch black leather pants, a leather shirt that only covered my chest, and black high heels.

I groan as I pick the outfit off of its hanger. I would normally never wear this out in public, but seeing as it was the only thing I could find in such a short time, I didn't really care.

I strip out of my tank top and sweats rather quickly. The leather pants slid onto my body with ease, fitting my figure perfectly. I pulled the shirt over my head, pulling my arms through the top. I wiggled it a bit, trying to make it fit my chest better. Once I had it on my chest properly, it fit like a glove. I step into my heels and head towards the bathroom.

I open the bathroom door and quickly step inside as if someone were watching me. I shut the door behind me and glance at myself in the mirror. I admired the way the outfit made my figure look. I fix my hair into a messy bun and apply a small amount of makeup.

I start with my black eyeliner, applying it just dark enough to be seen. Next, I applied mascara which didn't take too long. Finally, I applied a plum colored lipstick to my lips. I look at myself once again and nodded, agreeing with how I looked.

I walk out of my bathroom and bedroom, trying not to fall. I looked around for my car keys in the kitchen until I realized there were beside my phone on the couch. I'm so forgetful sometimes, it's dangerous. I walk over to my couch, picking up my cell phone and car keys before heading out the door.

*Five Minutes Later*

I reached Mark's place in about 5 minutes or less. I don't know why I drive, I guess I'm just lazy. I park the car outside, shutting it off. I step out of my vehicle and almost ran to Marks front door.

I knocked a few times before I received an answer. I hear the lock click and soon enough the door opened, revealing a smiling Mark. "Hey Mark." He looked me up and down before looking back up to my eyes. "What's with the outfit?" I giggle as I looked myself over, almost forgetting what I put on. "Yeah, I didn't have time to do laundry when you texted so I put this on. It's something my sister, Bri, got me for my birthday last year."

He chuckled and wrapped me in a gentle hug. I couldn't get over how it felt when he hugged me, but I'd never tell him that. After a few moments, he released me from his embrace and extended his arm to welcome me inside. I smile and walk into the living room, his house was so pretty and cozy.

I look around for a little bit longer before turning back to Mark. "So what do you wanna do today? Play video games or something?" Mark shut the front door with his foot, pushing his red and black hair out of his face. "Actually, I want you to meet someone." I nodded my head and grinned, "Well any friend of yours is a friend of mine." I stated proudly. I loved all of his friends; Jack, Bob, Wade, and Felix. (of course there's more, but yeah xD)

Mark chuckled, walking past me to the kitchen. "Well I'm glad, but just understand this one person isn't like Jack or Felix. He's a bit like me in more ways than one." I slowly make my way over to where Mark stood, which was in front of the sink. "Well if this person is like you, what's not to like?" I giggle and playfully give him a shove.

Mark turned to face me, now holding a knife firmly in his hand. "Mark, what are you doing with the knife?" Mark slowly takes the knife across his skin, ripping the flesh in the process. "This is the only way for you to meet him."

I watched in shock as the blood, pouring from Mark's hand, began to boil. Soon, there was a black mist that arose from Mark's hand and there stood a man. He looked almost identical to Mark, but there was more to him than Mark. He had black, glowing eyes, slightly pale skin, and pitch black clothing. Otherwise, he looked like Mark.

I stood as I watched the man that had just came from Mark's blood levitate before me. I was at a lose for words, I couldn't even breath normally. "This is Dark, (y/n). He is my demon. He isn't here to harm anyone, he is merely here to keep me in line. It's okay, I promise."

I continue to stare at Dark while Mark continues to comfort me. Suddenly, the fear leaves and now curiosity comes into play. "It's very nice to meet you, Dark. I'm no longer afraid of you so it's okay." A smirk crept it's way onto Dark's face, a smirk I know all too well. "That's wonderful you no longer fear me, (y/n). Mark was terrified you'd freak out and run when he brought me out to meet you."

I smile kindly at Mark, but keep my eyes locked on Dark. He intrigued me so very deeply, I wanted to know everything about demons and hell. Dark chuckled as if he could read my thoughts, "I'm glad I intrigue you. I'm sure one day I'll spill some things about what it's like to be like me. Until then, I shall be around here and there or whenever you want to see me."

He smirks at me before snapping his fingers, just like that he was gone. "Don't worry, he teleports. He'll be back." I giggle, pushing the stray hair out of my face. "I like Dark. I hope I can meet him again."

Mark chuckled, grabbing my hand to pull me into the living room. "You will, trust me."
