I had gone to bed early yesterday because the jet lag (has this word even been invented yet?) had hit me. Since I had gone to bed so early I had also gotten up early this morning. Now it was around 10 am and I was sitting in my big comfy armchair, reading Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. It was one of my favorite books. I have a whole library in my house and I have brought all my favorite books from my time. If it wasn't clear by now that I am a Ravenclaw then it definitely is now. On the coffee table next to me stood a cup of chamomile tea, my favourite tea.
Suddenly I heard the zipper of my bag open and just a second later a puzzled looking Mr. Scamander stood in the middle of my bedroom. "Normally people knock." I said slightly amused. "How'd I...?" He started, looking around. "The bag detects if you have a wand or not. And apparently You're in a bit of a tricky situation, because it pulled You right in. I enchanted it to do so, in case people need help." I said, slightly amused about how bewildered he looked. "So." I said, closing the book and putting it down on the coffee table. "What have You gotten yourself into Mr. Scamander?"
"Have a seat." I said, pointing at my bed. "On your bed?" He asked. "Yes on my bed, I am currently not inside it, am I?" I answered. He didn't seem convinced to sit down on my bed. "Christ..." I mumbled and transformed my bed into a sofa. "Now. Have a seat." I repeated. Mr. Scamander dropped onto the couch. "So? What tricky situation are You in?" I asked again. "I might have pissed some people of." He said, a bit awkwardly. "Please tell me it's not the MACUSA." I said. "No, not the MACUSA." "Good."
"Are You gonna tell me what happened?" I asked. "Maybe..." He said, seemingly thinking. "I might have tried to buy a creature and...yeah that's all I'm going to tell You Ms. Gray." "Okay then." I said, my lips curling into a smile. "And now?" Mr. Scamander looked up. "Now what?" He asked. "Well, what are You gonna do now? Hide in my bag for the next two weeks? Due all respect Mr. Scamander, but I've only just met You yesterday." I was amused by the situation. "I...no. I dunno. I thought I'd just hide here for a while and then go back outside. Maybe look for a room somewhere." He said.
He did. During the next two weeks we did see each other almost everyday. We had tea and talked a little about this and that. I really enjoyed it.
I was just knocking on his door as usual. Mr. Scamander opened it, a smile appearing on his face. "Hello Ms. Gray. Come on in." He said, opening the door so that I could step in. His suitcase stood on the floor. I questioningly looked at him. "Ms. Gray I thought I might show You something. Follow me." He said, opening the suitcase and stepping inside of it, vanishing completely. I just stood there, looking at the suitcase in amazement. His head appeared again. "Come on now." He said. I moved closer to the suitcase, peeking inside of it. There were some makeshift stairs.
I sighed inwardly and carefully stepped inside of the suitcase, going down the stairs. When I was in reach Mr. Scamander held out his hand to offer me help. I took it. Obviously I stumbled on the last step. I already saw myself lying on the floor, but then Mr. Scamander caught me. I found myself in his arms a second later. "Careful." He said with a little smile. Our faces were just centimeters away from each other and I could see all if his freckles and his beautiful green eyes. There was a pause in which nobody said anything and we just stared at each other.
Suddenly Mr. Scamander blushed and he let go of me. I felt myself blush a little, too and cleared my throat. "So..." I said. "Why exactly are we here...inside your suitcase?" I asked. "Oh, right." Mr. Scamander said as if only remembering that we were even here. "I thought I might show You the inside of my suitcase." He said. I looked around. We were standing in some kind of wooden shed with a small camp bed, a lot of tools on the walls and a lot of scientific stuff. I raised my eyebrow. "Not to be mean Mr. Scamander" I gave a little laugh. "But I think my house is a bit more impressive." I joked. "Indeed." He said with a smirk. "Your house, of course, is more impressive. But follow me." He said, going ahead and pushing open a door.
It was a breathtaking view. Magical creatures everywhere, each one in a terrain that fitted them best. I tried to remember the names of some of these. I could see Mooncalves and a Niffler, also Occamys and even a Thunderbird. But there were plenty more. I let out a breath. "Wow..." I just said, looking around eagerly. Newt looked proud, I thought he was even puffing out his chest a little, which made me smile.
"How do you like it?" Mr. Scamander asked. "It's amazing." I said.
Author's Note: Hi so, I just wanted to say that I don't know how often I'll publish something. I've got some ideas for some specific scenes but it has to built up until there, so it might take me some time to update. But thanks for reading anyways and also thanks for voting and commenting, I really appreciate it every time :)
