Hey guys, this is just a little short story for a contest (That, if any of you who read The Broken Love Song will find interesting enough) and I’m trying for the win, I guess. Anyways, hope you all enjoy it, Read, Fan, Comment, Like and ENJOY! XD If I can’t win the contest –Wait for it- then I want to win your hearts (Sorry, felt like using a stupidly cheesy line. Valentine’s Day, Pssh *rolls eyes*) Anyways, hope you all like it!
I study myself in the mirror. Pretty. That’s what Pierce Kesler had called me. I’m far from pretty with normal dark brown eyes, long black hair that I always tie back, a tall structure making me taller than most boys and reading glasses that I’ve gotten into a habit of wearing usually. I still don’t look pretty no matter what face I put up and look in the mirror with and still he insists that I’m beautiful, extravagant, alluring and everything he wants.
I bite my lip and let my black hair down, maybe a little more attractive but Pierce’s sister Dierdre is much more beautiful than me, everyone swoons for her and Pierce. How can he like a plain girl like me? I’m simple little Kyra Tyrome, not that interesting.
I brush away the hair from my neck and blush to see the mark left there. A kiss mark, to show everyone I’m his. I turn away from the mirror and push my hair back front to hide it. Pierce must be joking, he always does that. It doesn’t mean anything; I’m only his friend who gives him notes now and then.
“Hello beautiful” a lilting voice calls and a second later I find myself looking into beautiful green eyes.
“Pierce… What are you doing here? I thought I told you not to bother me again” I ask icily keeping my eyes away from his eyes and his adorable looking black hair that’s all disheveled.
Keep up your charade, he’ll go away Kyra. Keep up your adamant attitude and he’ll leave you alone. He’s not serious about you anyways, he’ll go away…
“Your mother let me in; I told her I’m your boyfriend and she was delighted. You seem so disappointed to see me. It’s so disheartening since I came for you” Pierce pouts letting himself into my room and lying down on my bed as if it’s something he does every day.
Alright, I don’t doubt he does this every day, he kisses girls everyday that’s for sure. Who knows, he even goes into their rooms, they probably beg him to.
“Geez, my mother… and what do you mean came for me? God help me, get off my bed! I’ll file a case against you for sexual harassment!” I frown, fumbling to tie up my hair again when he gets up in one graceful catlike movement and slides his arms around my waist.
“Sexual harassment? Do you even know what it means; sitting on your bed certainly isn’t it” he grins and I push him away.
“Pervert! I told you to get out didn’t I? Seriously, if you don’t get I’ll… I’ll…”
“Kiss me?” he chuckles taking a lock of my hair and kissing it while looking at me.
“N-no!” I shout pulling away when my mother knocks on the door and Pierce stops being the playboy he usually is and smiles sweetly at my mother.
I love you so much mom, I think quietly to her and smile.
“I brought some orange juice for you two” she beams; I barely look like my mother.
My mother has beautiful flawless, porcelain skin with dark caramel curls and the only remote resemblance I have to her is with the eyes but even then my mother’s eyes seem beautiful, a lovely deep chocolate. I don’t pity myself, she really is beautiful. Why couldn’t my looks fall on her?
“Thanks mom but Pierce was just-”
“Thinking of taking Kyra out for a date. Is that fine Mrs. Tyrome?” Pierce asks smiling sweetly.
