Phee and I became fast friends. I discovered that she's a year younger than me but we are still in the same grade.
So far we haven't run out of pointless and hilarious topics to discuss and sometimes she jumps from her bedroom balcony to mine so we can continue our giggling gossip or just chill.
Sipping a cappuccino on my balcony watching the sunrise over the sea has me thinking about how I saw Liam in "The Surf".
It brings back weird hazy nostalgic feelings that flutters around my stomach like the butterflies he used to give me.
Just like the ones he gave me when I saw him in that stupid surf shop.
"What the actual fuck!? "I shout as I feel a sudden whack on the back of my head. I look up to see where it came from, and instantaneously the butterflies flutter away and are replaced by something new.
"Good morning best friend " Phoenix croons with that quirky smile she wears.
"What did you throw at me?" I ask, and feel my face morph into a playful scowl.
"Oh it's nothing just a football " she counters, still smirking.
I fix a playful glare at her and it all goes away quickly, and I'm mirroring her quirky smirk with one of my own.

She leaps over my railing on my balcony and leans against it, watching the sunrise with me.
" I gotta go to work soon, but there's this little café called "The Sip" right on the sea front we can meet up there and go surfing after that. " Phoenix says before swinging her leg over the railing again and climbing back over to her side.
And just like that, the butterflies flutter back into my stomach and something tells me that today isn't going to be so straight forward and easy as Phee expects.
It never is.

" Allleeecccc " I sing song while tip toeing into his room
"ALEC!!!! " I scream, still no response.
Jeesh this boy can sleep.
Quietly I climb onto his bed and start screaming while I jump up and down, and the bed is now a trampoline and I'm only jumping higher and higher, and higher.
" ALEC WAKE UP! AHHHHHHH!!" I shout at him.
Suddenly a girly screech rips throughout the room. I fall onto his bed laughing.
My goal is complete.
Well, almost.
"What the fuck Ady " he groans into his pillow and rolls over in a sea of twisted blankets.
"I need you to take me somewhere. " I use my best and most innocent puppy dog eyes and pout my lip out a little for a dramatic effect.
"And why would I take you anywhere at...what ever the fuck the time is?.
"Not important, and because you love me and besides Phoenix is gonna be there " I whisper in his ear, dragging out my words and lacing in a suggestive tone.
"Yeahsurewhen" he rushes out while quickly sitting up.
"I mean yeah cool "
I grin wildly at him "ahaaa" I examine his face as if I'm trying to figure out what his angle is and instead of pressing I giggle "Be ready in 10 "

After putting on my bikini and brand new white dress with flip flops I pack my wetsuit and grab my surfboard. I make my way to Alec's convertible and put my stuff in the back before jumping in the passengers seat.
"Alec stop takin you sweet time! " I shout as I see him exiting the front door.
"I'll do what I want " he sticks his tongue out at me
Rolling my eyes I buckle up and put my feet on the dashboard. "Why are you so eager to see Phee anyways? "
"No reason" he shrugs it off and pulls out of the driveway .
