Now I get it that I haven't mentioned the name of the character, nor have I mentioned the gender. I haven't also mentioned the place or the shops name for that matter.
But that is not what I want to write. It can be a male and it can be a female. The name could be something as simple as Gary to Cindy. Its up to the readers imagination to choose whether they want a female or male protagonist.
As for the place, it could be in the middle of a city or middle of nowhere. It can literally be anywhere in this world. You can decide where you want it to be.
As for the shops name, I didn't want to mention it. Simple as that. I didn't find the shops name all that important to tell you the truth. Its an old shop that has had its glory days and is now on the brink of going away. I also personally felt the effect of the short story would be ruined a bit if I mention the shops name. I don't know how. I just feel that way.
