❝You can win wars with yourself, you just have to try,❞ I reply, hoping he'll never find it in himself to give up, especially with how far he's already come.
❝Try? I've been trying since I could read. I can't win this, Mags, for there's something dark inside of me. Something that I'm not quite sure is human.❞
❝What do you mean?❞ I whisper, unsure if I'm ready for his answer.
❝I think the horrors of life, have created demons. I think those demons have found their way into my mind. I can't escape them, it's as if they're constantly whispering to me, never giving me an escape. I'm going to go mad soon, Maggie, it's just a matter of time.❞
