Danni's eyes filled with tears. She was about to watch her family's destruction. Her entire family (and Mr. Lancer) where about to be destroyed because she'd nearly cheated on some stupid test!

Why couldn't she have just been the bigger person and turned in the answers with the seal unbroken and asked (Jus)Tin for help? Why did she have to be so stupid.

But she shook her head and narrowed her flashing neon eyes. Her family (and Mr. Lancer) needed her. It was time to be a hero.

"Don't worry, I won't turn into that." She told Sam and Tama. "Ever. I promise."

To Lancer, she added. "I guess this sort of explains my periodic absences." She grinned, about to apologize, until something wrapped around her waist and pulled her back. Danni flew back with a yelp and her evil older self grabbed her by the collar, her neon green eyes narrowed. "What are you gonna do? Waste me?" She snapped. "What happens to you, then?" She asked.

"You don't get it, do ya?" Her older self asked, voice split into two different octaves. Her own, and Vlad Plasmius'. Yes, her future was really screwy if this was how she was going to end up. "I'm still here. I still exist. You still turn into me." The image of the ghost briefly flickered between teenage girl and middle aged man and Danni though yeah, her future was seriously screwed. Then she was thrown backwards again by a right to the face.

Danni hit a light pole with a groan and slid down the base, her backpack softening the blow, then falling from her body. "I don't have to waste you. I just have to run out the clock until your entire life falls apart." Danni-Vlad taunted, floating above the white haired ghost.

The evil ghost fly downwards at top speeds to try and get Danni fighting again, but Danni turned intangible and fell through the concrete walkway. Danni-Vlad hit the light pole and growled, looking around for their younger, past self.

"Maybe if you'd have remembered more about your family, you'd have remembered the Spector Deflector." Danni snapped, flying up through the concrete and holding out the belt. It hummed with ecto-energy as she snapped it around the older's waist. The belt shocked Danni-Vlad, making the ghost scream, also an odd sound. "Or the Ghost Gauntlets!" Danni yelled, rearing back and landing a solid punch to Danni-Vlad's evil ugly face.

Her older self went flying backwards and landed in an oil truck, spilling the black liquid everywhere and causing it to explode and blue flames to break out in the parking lot. Danni nodded to herself and went to free her friends, family, and teacher.

Danni-Vlad, however, wasn't finished, and they rose from the flames, tearing off the Specter Deflector. They grabbed Danni's upper arms and pulled her back, making her yelp in surprise. She landed painfully on the ground and Danni-Vlad loomed over her. "Your time is up, Danni." They taunted as more of the ghost's replicas appeared. "It's been up for ten years." As they reared back their fists, the replicas and the original had smirks on their faces.

Danni was hit, kicked, and blasted. When she landed on the ground, she groaned, not even trying to sit up for a minute. Everything hurt, and she knew better than to move right away. "What makes you think you can change my past?" Danni-Vlad asked.

Danni struggled to her feet. "Because I promised my family." She growled.

Danni-Vlad just laughed. "Aw, you promised your family." She mocked, looking smug.

Danni got to her feet with a huff and sweat poured down her face. "Yes. I promised!" She shouted, and green energy waves exploded from her mouth. The waves knocked Danni-Vlad back, away from Danni and went skidding across the blacktop.

"That power, ow, it's not possible! I don't get that power until ten years from now!" Danni-Vlad gasped.

"Well, I guess the future isn't a set in stone as you think it is." Danni replied, flying over and grasping her side. Then, she sucked in a huge breath and tapped into her ghostly powers again, letting loose another Ghostly Wail that knocked Danni-Vlad back a good twenty yards, destroying windows and collapsing a building as the ghost went flying back.

Danni gasped as the powers drained her strength, rendering her powerless and switching her back to her human persona, substituting snow white locks for ebony back, neon green eyes for baby blue, and the HAZMAT suit for her usual clothes. She groaned, falling to her knees on the ground, disoriented from her most recent power's appearance.

Then, Danni-Vlad punched their way through the rubble and stood, their flaming hair pretty much extinguished except for a few patches on their balding head. Danni groaned as she looked up. Oh, come on! What's it gonna take! She hissed to herself as she moved to get on her feet again.

"Well, that's it isn't it?" Danni-Vlad asked, holding her side.

Danni narrowed her eyes, pulling out the Fenton Thermos. "Time's up." She snarled, pointing it at the ghost. It sucked the ghost in and Danni quickly capped it. "You're done." She hissed, smiling at the thermos.

Clockwork watched from his tower in the ghost zone and smiled at the Ghost Girl. "All is as it should be."
