Parental Bonding

I decided to do a kind of tag to the episode. So, this takes place just after Danni and Sam have their last dance.

"Promise you keep your pants this time?" Sam teased, touching his nose to Danni's.

The smaller teen blushed. "I'll try." She replied, ocean eyes never leaving Sam's amethyst.

As the dance came to an end, Sam spun Danni out and pulled her close, dipping her back and grinning as the blush deepened.

"Um... Thanks for the dance." She stammered slightly, as she curtsied to end the dance.

Sam smirked, bowing back and offering her an arm for the ghost girl to take.

Danni took it and Sam lead her outside.

A car horn blared and Danni's mother came up in the Fenton Attack Vehicle.

"Danni!" She called, rolling down the window and sticking her head out. "We need to be going!"

Danni waved and smiled, turning to Sam. "Thanks for dancing with me, Sam. See you tomorrow." She pushed herself up on her tip toes and pressed a kiss to Sam's cheek.

Sam blushed, touching the place Danni's lips had been, but before he could return the sentiment, Danni was carefully climbing into the car with her mother and waving.

Jackie Fenton looked at Sam and smiled. "Have a good night, Sam!" She called and then the pair where gone.

Sam's face flushed as he turned to begin walking home.

He thought about what had happened with Paul and how Danni had protected both of them despite the fact that Sam had turned into a dragon and Paul had been a jerk.

He growled briefly, thinking about how Paul had told him he had used Danni to get back at Sam.

Sam sincerely hoped that Danni would realize Paul wasn't as great as he pretended to be.

Otherwise, Sam may just have to murder Paul, and frankly she didn't want to hurt Danni anymore than Danni already got on a daily basis.

Sam sighed, looking up at the sky, watching a star come out.

An old rhyme came to mind as he watched the sky. He recited it softly. "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight."

I wish Danni would have the life she deserves.

Sam closed his eyes, stopping at his front door and sighed again.

I really do.
