Kaneki Ken || Unconditional Love

A/N: Here is a male!reader one-shot. This is my first male!reader one-shot so bare with me. This one shot will have angst in it! Whoop my first, not perfect life, one-shot lmao. Alright I'll let you read the one-shot now! Hope you enjoy.

        I was on my way to Kaneki's apartment when I saw a figure running into an alleyway. Me, being the curious person I am, follow the figure. I sneak around the corner and see a persons silhouette looming over someone. "I-I need flesh. Mhhh..... it, it smells sooo good." My eyes widen. That's Kaneki's voice! I jump out of the the corner and jump on Kaneki. "Run! Hurry!" I scream at the person. They hurriedly jump up and run as fast as they could.

        Suddenly I'm thrown against the wall. Groaning I look up and see that Kaneki is looming over me, one ghoul eye activated. "He's hungry." I think to myself. "Kaneki. Babe, it's me, (y/n). Remember? I can help you. Just calm down, breathe." I tell him. He growls. He pushes me against the wall of the building. "Mhhh..you smell good. Really good. N-no! Argh! G-get away from me (y/n)! I-I'm a monster." Kaneki backs away holding his head, breathing deeply.

        "Let me help you. I-I'll let you eat a bit of me." I tell him. He looks at me hungrily. "No! Argh. I-Go away before it's too late! I-I don't want to hurt you!" I smile at him, "You need it. C'mon look, there's a nice space here on my neck." Once you say that, Kaneki lunges towards you. He sinks his teeth into your skin. I moan in pain as he moans in pleasure. He keeps tearing at my skin until he is kicked off me.

        I painfully look up and see Touka, a worker at a local cafe that both Kaneki and I go to with Hide. I see that she has her kagune out. She attacks Kaneki, he is beaten on the ground. I look at Touka one last time before I pass out

        Pain shoots up my head and neck as I wake up. I open my eyes and see that I am in an unknown room. I attempt to sit up as I try to remember why I'm here. "That's right. Kaneki needed to eat. Touka attacked when she saw that he was eating my shoulder." I think to myself. I groan as I lift my left arm. "Dang it Kaneki. This is my writing arm." I say to myself as the door opens. I see Yoshimura and Kaneki enter. "Yo, Ojiisan, Kaneki. What's up?" I smile.

      Kaneki looks at me in disbelief. "You're not mad?" I shook my head. "You needed to eat so I let you eat. But why my left side? I write with that arm!" I exclaim. "Ojiisan. What did you need?" Ojiisan sighs. "I just wanted to ask you a question." I motion him to continue, "Would you like to join Anteiku?" I look at him thoughtfully, then I look at Kaneki, I sigh, "I guess. Hey Oji-san how long till it heals?" I ask him, pointing to my left shoulder. 

        "I don't know. Knowing how unpredictable your body is it could be days or months. I'll leave you two to talk. You need to tell him." Ojiisan leaves. I look at Kaneki, Oh crap he looks mad. "Hehe. I love you?" "Why! Why would you risk your life like that? Don't be stupid! I could have killed you! Do you know how guilty I feel right now and how guilty I would feel if I killed you? Gah! Why can't you try to protect your own life?"

        "Because I'm just like you." I say softly as Kaneki's eyes widen. "I'm half ghoul too. Actually, I was never meant to be born. My Dad is human, mom is a ghoul. I guess I just knew how you felt and I wanted to help you." I chuckle. "You don't know how long I've wanted to say that." I breakdown. I start to cry into my hands. I feel Kaneki wrap his arms around my carefully. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I love you so much. I just wouldn't bare the thought of hurting you." Kaneki whispers to me. 

        "I guess this is what people call unconditional love."
