{Gemma's P.O.V}
"Daddy!"
I barged through the big wooden doors and entered my father's work office, shouting. I've been kept in the dark about this and I do not like it.
I do not like it one bit.
Dad sighed as ran his fingers through his chocolate brown hair. For his age, he still had a young and handsome look. He looks up to me from the papers he was holding and raises a brow, looking slightly stressed.
"Gemma? What is it?"
Despite his state, he still remained calm and talked in a sweet and caring manner. He always does.
Then again, I find that amazing and impressive that he still managed to be like this even when he had a lot of things going on.
My hands rested on my hips as I looked him. "You will tell me what is going on and what is happening or I will go on a killing spree. Why did that...that person take Jordan away?! He didn't do anything!"
"I need an explanation! I deserve an explanation!"
He stood up and walks around his fancy mahogany desk and stopped infront of me. He placed both his hands on my shoulders as he looked into my emerald green hues that I inherited from my mother.
Mom said that dad named me the first time he saw my eyes. He thought that they looked like the most beautiful thing he ever saw therefore he named me Gemma as I was his 'gem'.
"I will tell you about it once he arrives. We three will have a talk. So, I want you to stay composed and calm like a Volkov. Are you a Volkov or not?"
I nodded without hesitation, though feeling agitated. "Yes, I am."
"Good. Now please, sit, I will have Lovi get you some wine." I made my way towards the empty chair near his desk and sat comfortably as he called for Lovi.
Soon after, a tall, dark-haired man wearing a suit and his hand held against his chest with a white cloth occupying it came in with a tray on his other free hand.
Lovi placed the tray that held a bottle of wine and three wine glasses on father's table.
"Will there be anything else, sir?"
"No, thank you. Have a rest, Lovi."
With that, our family butler bowed before leaving the room. The room was now filled in calming silence. Father was now sat down on his big chair and was looking through some papers. My eyes scanned the room.
The room had a Victorian feel to it with a touch of dark brownish red. Dad always had a liking to fancy wood and deepset red.
Near the big wooden doors where I barged in, were big shelves on each side on the wall. Like any other wooden furniture in his room, it was also a dark red mahogany.
In those shelves were small figurines of horses, dogs and people. In some parts were filled with books and picture frames of us.
I smiled to myself at the thought of him loving us like we were the whole universe. He might also be a ruthless and mischievous regarding his work but he's actually just a big sweetheart when it comes to his family and the people he loves.
A chuckle suddenly interrupted my thoughts. I look to my father who was giving me an amused expression.
"You look like you're having fun smiling on your own."
