[Wang So's POV]
"4th Prince Wang So" Someone said knocking on my bedroom door rudely waking me up from my peaceful sleep
"Yes?" I replied getting off of my bed and opening the door to reveal Ae Sook's court lady standing at the door looking petrified, she quickly looked down and bowed.
"3rd Prince Wang Yo and his wife have invited you to have breakfast with them" She announced before walking away towards Ae Sook's bedroom, disappearing into the distance. I turned around and quickly looked for something to wear for breakfast with my brother and my sister-in-law. I decided to wear my black and purple hanbok, which is different to my normal hanbok.
After getting dressed I walked out of my bedroom and started walking towards Prince Yo's bedroom. As I was walking I saw Hye-jin walk out of her bedroom after Ae Sook as Ae Sook ran off into the distance towards the lake. "Oh good morning Prince So" Princess Hye-jin said with a small bow
"Did she run off for a reason?" I asked looking over at Hye-jin before looking back towards the direction that Ae Sook ran towards.
"She said that she had to clear her mind" Hye-jin replied with a smile, I nodded and continued walking to my destination. As I walked towards Yo and Lady Ji-min's bedroom I couldn't help but think about Ae Sook and what she is doing right now, last night she stated that Yo and Ji-min wanted us to get married but it's very unlikely that the king would accept that.
Once I arrived at Yo and Ji-min's bedroom I knocked slightly but loud enough for them to hear it
"Come in" Yo said forcefully, I pushed open the door to see my brother and sister-in-law already sitting at the table placed at the end of the bed but with enough space away from the bed so you could fit six people around it.
"You asked for me to join you?" I asked as I stood in front of them, they both nodded and smiled
"Yes, we would like to inform you on some news that we received, please come sit down and join us for breakfast" Yo announced, I nodded and walked over to the small table which may only be a few inches from the ground but had enough room for people to kneel with there knees underneath. I kneeled down on the opposite side of the small light wood table, I looked up at my older brother who had a smile on his face which is unlike him unless his daughter is around.
"What kind of news would you be sharing with me?" I asked as I grabbed my tea cup holding it near my mouth ready to take a sip of the freshly made herbal tea
"You will be getting married in 4 days from now" Yo announced picking up his red tea cup full to the rim of a different flavoured herbal tea. I sat in shock for a while before remembering that Ae Sook overheard them talking about this last night.
"Who am I being forced to marry?" I hissed looking back down towards the light wood table which reminds me of when everything was simple, who am I kidding? it has never been simple around here even before everything turned tragic and the King sent me away.
"You will be marrying Ae Sook, and the king has already agreed to the marriage" My sister in law pipped up as she held her head up high but you could see in her eyes that she didn't have a choice in the matter.
"Does she know about this?" I asked wanting to know what she has to say about the matter. they both shook their head and continued to eat their food, I looked down at the freshly prepared rice and shook my head "may I be excused?" I looked up to look at Yo, he just nodded. I got up and walked towards the door in a rush, I had to find Ae Sook and talk to her about this.
"Oh So, don't mention it to her yet, we will be telling her just before dinner tonight make sure you're there" Yo stated as I reached the door, I nodded and continued walking. I decided that I wanted to find her and see where she ran away to this morning.. 'is she secretly seeing someone' I think to myself
I walked out towards Ae Sooks to find her looking beautiful as always in her flowery hanbok and her hair in the signature braided bun. I quickly snap out of my thoughts when I look down slightly to see a young girl holding onto her hand for dear life. I stepped closer to the pair "Princess Hye-jin said you went for a walk early this morning after you ate breakfast with her" I said taking another step closer, she went to say something but go interrupted by a small voice
"Lady Ae Sook, I have been looking for you everywhere" A court lady exclaimed running towards us "Price Yo and Lady Ji-Min would like to speak with you in the library" she said bowing slightly
"Tell them I will be right there" she said with a small smile which made me almost smile seeing how beautiful it was, she turned to look at me "Seong-hye this is the 4th Prince, Prince So" she said looking down at the little girl, the little girl who Ae Sook called Seong-hye looked like she was in a state of shock with made me giggle slightly. she bowed slightly, I looked back up towards Ae Sook who nudged me making me acknowledge the young hair "So, I'll explain everything after please watch her as I go see Prince Yo and Lady Ji-min" she pleaded using her 'Puppy dog' eyes, I nodded as she ran off towards the library.
I looked at the young girl "You're a prince? thats pretty cool" She giggled, I nodded and gave her a small smile. "does that mean Lady Ae Sook your wife?" She gasped
"No, not yet" I replied, she let out a small laugh
"When's the wedding" she asked walking over to a bench and sitting down then patting the bench for me to come sit beside her
"4 day's" I say sitting down on the bench next to the young girl
"I bet she would look beautiful in royal colours" she giggled slightly. She's right Ae Sook would look stunning in the blue and red royal wedding hanbok, that means she will be my wife and I don't know much about her other than she's Yo and Ji-min's adoptive daughter, her parents were killed, her father was nice to me when I was younger, he helped me though a lot at a young age. She is caring and considerate like her father but her mothers looks, long black hair, a cute nose, the most beautiful smile I have ever seen and I can't forget how beautiful her eyes are.
"Prince So, are you thinking about her?" Seong-hye asked with a grin which stretched from ear to ear
"Yes I am" I chuckle, this young girl comes out of nowhere and makes me think about my future more in the last few minutes than I have in the past few years.
"What about you? Where are you from?" I ask politely hoping she will open up to me so I can hopefully help her.
"I'm from one of the villages near the river, we were attacked a few weeks ago and my parents were killed" She said trying to stop the tears from flowing down her face
"Its okay" I said pulling the young girl into a hug "Everything will be okay" I explained wiping the tears from her small face
I hear some foot steps in the distance and quickly lift my head to see Ae Sook standing in front of us with a small smile on her face.
