"Ma, I'm not going. I can't, please don't make me go."I begged, on the verge of getting irritated
"Beti, Alana just wants you to be at her party. Just for a little." My mother Jade said , trying to get me to go to my annoying cousin's birthday party
"Jade, if my baby doesn't want to go to that nasty little girl's party, she is not going." My grandmother Emerald said. I love my grandma to death because she always has my back, no matter what. She's a ride or die.
"Yeah! Ma, Granny said I don't have to. I just want to go to take a nap, go to dance class, eat, then go to sleep." I said
"Whatever!" My mom said, rolling her eyes, clearly irritated that she didn't get her way. I bet she'll still find a way to make me go to that party.
"Yay! Where is Papa?" I said beginning to walk to my room
"He's at the store, getting the rest of the food for dinner. Where's your brother?" She said
"Oh, alright. Aiden is with his luh' girlfriend." I said, then going to my room to take a nap before dance
"What I told that boy about being with that fast ass lil' girl." She mumbled to herself - - - I yawned, waking up from my nap. I walked to my closet and grabbed some Black Roshe Runs black and baby blue Nike compression shorts, a black sports bra, some underwear, and a simple distressed baby blue crop top, laying them out for when I get out of the shower.
After I finish all hygiene, I put on my clothes and shoes, grabbed my phone off the charger, and headed out of the door.
I walked downstairs said a quick 'bye' and grabbed a granola before heading out the door.
I walked down the block to the dance studio. - - - I walked out of the studio and down the street to go home.
"Hey bitch!" I hear my cousin Taleah say
"What's good hoe?" I replied
"Ain't nothing to do today in boring ass Trinidad." She said
"Girl bye, you don't do nothing! There is millions of things to do." I said rolling my eyes
"Girl whatever, but you need to go to the mall with me tomorrow." She said walking off
"Aight text me." I said, walking into the house
"Hey mami," I said passing by the kitchen
"Hello Beti, how was class?"
"It was good, like every other day. We're practicing for the carnival coming up. I may be doing a solo too." I said getting excited just thinking about the Carnival
"That's great Sa, take a shower and get ready for dinner."
"Okay, I'm going to take a shower." I said walking upstairs
I took out my night gown and underwear and put them down on my bed, and put my phone on the charger
After my shower and did my hygiene routine, I was too tired to go downstairs, so I just laid down and fell asleep. I'll eat a big breakfast. * * *
