**ROCKY'S POV** (yay new point of view)
I was up first. I had a rough night, and I had to scream at Rydel and Ratliff to go to bed.
They would be so cute together. They're best friends, and I swear Ratliff likes her. I'm not sure about Rydel, though. But I've come up with a plan to get them together.
I call it "The Rydellington Plan-A-Roo," or the more professional name, "The Best Friends Plan." It's where I try playing matchmaker and set them up. I mean, they know they want each other, I can just tell. Plus, Kelly's gone. It can go full throttle now.
I walk down the stairs and the first thing I see is Ratliff bundled up on the couch sleeping. Wait.
Why is Rydel there? Rydel was cuddled up, sleeping on his chest. What happened last night that she's down here sleeping under the same blanket with Ellington? Did they...? No, she hasn't even had her first kiss yet, she wouldn't do that. I walked to the kitchen, and made some breakfast.
***LATER THAT DAY***
Everyone was up, and we were just hanging out in the basement, me, the lovebirds, Riker, Ross, and Ryland.
"So...Ratliff...what was up with you and Rydel this morning?" I said out loud to E-Rat, everyone hearing, including Rydel.
Riker, Ross, and Ryland shot me a look. Rydel and Ratliff shot me even worse looks. My brothers didn't see them two canoodling on the couch. Del and Ell woke up before anyone but me saw. They never said don't tell anyone.
"There was something going on this morning?" Riker asked, being protective of his little and my older sister. I don't know how Rydel or even Ratliff was gonna cover this up. But, of course, Rydel figured out how to cover it up.
"I...um...uh wasn't feeling good...so I uh...went for some aspirin and was watching TV with Ratliff who was also up when I guess that uh...the medicine made me drowsy and I fell asleep on Ratliff. Yup, that's it." It wasn't a good cover-up, but it somehow fooled all of them. Idiots. Lies, Rydel, lies.
Ratliff left with the others 15 minutes later, to go to Get Shaved. I stayed home with Rydel, and our parents went with them. The second that door slammed and the car pulled out, screaming erupted.
"ROCKY LYNCH! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Rydel's voice echoed.
"I don't know what you mean." I answered sarcastically with a snicker. I got a slap on the face for that one.
"NO, SERIOUSLY." She was really mad, probably the most mad I have seen Rydel.
"Rydel, please calm down. I was just being my cocky self, that's all. Can I please ask you a question?" I hope I can get the answer out of her.
**RYDEL'S POV**
"Yeah, sure, go ahead." I took a sip from my water bottle, and sat at the kitchen table with Rocky.
"Do you like Ratliff?" There it goes. The 'like' bomb.
Do I like Ellington Ratliff? Well, yeah, I've had a crush on him for what seems like forever. But was 'like' the right word? Was it love? No, love's too strong.
"Yes. He's funny, kind, really cute, and he treats me with respect." I admitted to Rocky. "Don't tell him I said any of that."
**BACK TO ROCKY'S POINT OF VIEW**
"Oh, I won't." I kind of lied, like Rydel did earlier. I'll only tell him if he admits he likes her.
