"Tori!" Victoria turned around when she heard the familiar voice of her best friend. "Seriously, did you really need to shout, Pia?" she asked once her friend, Sophia Olivares, was near enough for a proper conversation. "Yep, if I didn't do that, you wouldn't have bothered turning around" Victoria laughed because Sophia's words were accurately true, "can't help it, this is the first day of a new semester, I don't want to ruin it by engaging boring small talks with guys that are way beneath me" and then she added that statement with a shrug.
"True" Sophia agreed, as the two friends walked by, it's as if time stood still. Eyes followed their movements.
No sane person would dare deny that Victoria Angel Lopez and Sophia Angel Olivares has that kind of beauty that is simply captivating. They're nicknamed the Angelic Twins for a reason. With a glance they might be mistaken as sisters, may even pass as twins, but the truth is that they aren't blood related. More often than not, people would often assume that they're sisters because of how much they resemble each other. Both have dark brown long hair, roman noses (a trait that came from their foreign blood), fair skinned, coffee colored almond shaped eyes. Even their body proportions are close, except Sophia is a little taller than Victoria.
They both came from prominent families and because their families are friends, it was only natural that they both end up growing close together. As they grew older, they went through a lot of challenges, separately and together. It wasn't always like that though, when they were just children they both had their own friends, friends whom they treasured, only their so called "friends" didn't feel the same way. They were befriended solely for personal gains or some children were forced by their parents to befriend Victoria and Sophia hoping to gain favor from their respective families.
Victoria and Sophia found this out in a cruel way and because of this, their naïve little hearts hardened, never to trust again. In the end, both found comfort with each other, at least with one another, they know that the offer of companionship is genuine, they've stuck together ever since.

The two friends entered their class and sat on the third row. Why third row? The logic behind, not too close to be considered a nerd and not too far to be considered a delinquent, though this is only their opinion. They received all kinds of greeting from their classmates but they didn't grace them with any kind of response.
Victoria groaned in disapproval, Sophia noticed so she asked her friend if there was a problem, "our professor last semester in Study and Thinking skills is also our professor now in Speech Communication skills" Sophia nodded in understanding, "let me guess, you don't like him because, he's a a) misogynistic asshole, b) pervert and c) too stupid to be teaching at all?" Sophia questioned like they were taking an exam.
"All of the above, this is fucking ridiculous. I think that asshole faked his degree, with his astounding stupidity I wouldn't be surprised. Besides I'm so goddamned tired of his sexual comments and sexist jokes. If I wasn't so lazy to file a complaint to the school board, I would've done it already" Victoria ranted with pure irritation, showed by her tone of voice and facial expression.
"I know, at least we'll only suffer in his presence for three short months, next semester we're done with minor subjects, at least with English and Filipino," Sophia consoled her friend, but it only seemed to worsen her friend's mood.
"It may be bye-bye professor bastard but next semester we won't be sharing several subjects like we do now. Whatever possessed you to take Psych anyway? You should've taken business ad like me, aren't you going to work under your family's business anyway?" Victoria asked
"Heck no, I only have one very short life and I choose to enjoy my life as I see fit. Besides we can still set our breaks to fit each other, that way we can still spend as much time as possible, inside the campus at least" Sophia optimistically explained
