I was walking to the kingdom of Wileo. The Kingdom wouldn't be found on map, or rather any Mortal map. Wileo existed alongside the Mortal city London as it is called now. It was only accessible at certain times and even then you had to be of Mystic, Mythical, or even something that lives on the fringes of Mortal sights. Well, I myself was a near extinct race of Mystics. Not due to disease, or hunting, no my race fought against each other and drove ourselves to the brink of extinction. I myself just watched as a proud race fell to bloodlust and hatred. I soon found myself the only one left. I didn't believe that we should fight each other, I thought that as one of the once greatest races. But, like I said I just and watched as my brethren murdered each other.
After the battle ensued and finished I tried to set up a meeting to establish a truce. I met with the one other person of my race and we tried to figure out what to do.
"Leecanda, brother of my heart and race. We are the last of our one grand and proud race what are we to do from this moment on till the end of time and past such time?" I asked of my fellow shifter.
"We watched as our brothers and sisters fought and killed each other. we tried to be the voice of reason among the madness that gripped our race, and yet here we stand the last two remaining of the true Shifters. So, please tell me your ideas." I pleaded with my fellow Shifter.
"Mileo we both know that if you truly wanted to you could absorb and kill me with a twitch of your fingers. I personally think that you should try to become king of Wileo and then we can see what comes from that, that is my idea Mileo. You were always the best of our Race when it came to power development. You have more shift forms then I myself do. if that is not a good idea then I don't know where to go from here." Leecanda replies before sitting upon the floor and leaning against a wall.
I step up to a window and look out at the scene before the window and few tears slip free from my eyes. In the field in front of me were countless bodies mangled by what looks like great animals. It was the standing testament of the carnage that been wreaked upon my race.
"Leecanda, come here and look at what I see."
Leecanda gets up and walks to stand beside me.
"Leecanda, what I see in front of us is the violence and ignorance that a single person can spark amongst a great Race such as ours. We used to be the pride of the Mystic world and now all that left is the two of us, and you expect Wileo to bow to me because I'm the strongest? No, if I want Wileo to bow at my feet it needs to be by showing them that the Shifters are still a threat to reckon with. But, I will not let them see you or I at a weakened state. No, we will both train before we go to the Quarters to challenge the current King of Wileo. Even if he is a Fae he is still in great standings with the people of Wileo. Do you agree to this Leecanda or must we also fight like the deceased in our view at this moment?" I asked turning to Leecanda.
Leecanda looks at the field in the mirror then shakes his head.
"No, Mileo I must agree with your plan for the sake of preserving our race and if I must I will take your place. But, know this Mileo I will not bow to a Fae for long the Quarters are quickly approaching. We must start quickly to start preparing for them." He turns and walks to a case on the wall quickly grabbing to staffs and two traveling cloaks. Then returns to my side handing me one of each.
"We will train as we head towards the gates of Wileo milord. We will train along the way." Leecanda says donning his cloak and gripping his staff.
I jump at the formality that was displayed before quickly coping him.
"Of course Leecanda that sounds like a great plan." We then walk towards the doors of the small cottage that we were standing in.
