Luke

That kiss is the only thing I've been able to think about since that night.

It was amazing. The best kiss we have ever shared. My heart was racing, my mind was blowing, our emotions poured into each other.

After she fell asleep in my arms, guilt overtook me.

We made the agreement to stay friends. I broke it! We are suppose to be moving on from each other, but how are we suppose to do that when we shared that amazing kiss.

I shouldn't have put myself in that situation. I shouldn't have put her in that situation.

Then I left. I ran away like a wimp.

My biggest fear was that Lee would wake up regretting it all. It would be humiliating!

I left my heart in that bed with her.

I can't shake this empty feeling that's been consuming me. I just wish things were like the way they used to be.

But they won't be. We agreed that the best thing is that we stay apart. I just need to learn to move on and be happy again.

Well, not that I'm not happy.

I'm living my dream! I get to sing and play guitar with my best friends. We are soon to embark on a tour with the biggest boy band in the world. But I don't have her.

Now I have to face her today.

Lee has been busy with work, school and avoiding me. Every time I go to her house they say she's not home. I can't help but think it's all my fault.

We go back to London tomorrow.

All I want to do is fix us. I want us to be back to normal, like before we dated. Back when we didn't fill our time together being uncomfortable and awkward. When I wasn't scared to bring certain topic up. Before we fell in love.

We agreed to meet at the ice skating rink. It's a Tuesday afternoon, it is assured to be empty.

I sit on the couch and stare at the clock. It's moving so slow. I just want to see her again. As friends.

The clock slowly ticks. After waiting an eternity, it finally hits 2. I have thirty minutes to walk to the rink. If I leave now, I'd be there in perfect time.

"Mom! I'm leaving!" I yell and walk out the door, locking it behind me.

Strolling down the sidewalk, I observe the life around me. Kids chase each other around, joggers race past me with their hair flying, and birds fly above me balancing tree to tree.

I finally reach the building and I walk in.

"Hey, Tom! Can I have a ticket for two? Leanne is meeting me." I walk up to the counter with a short man standing behind it smiling.

"So are you two back together?" His bearded face smiles as he looks up to me.

"No, we are just friends hanging out." I struggle to smile.

"Oh. I remember when you two little kins would come here and skate around together! You would hold her hand to keep steady and she would just blush! Then you came back together as the years flew by closer and closer. I'm so glad you still have that relationship!" Tom bounces on his heels with excitement.

Yeah, about that.

"Totally, it's great!" I fake a grin.

"Do you have the same shoe size?" He looks up at me.

"I'm pretty sure I do."

Tom turns around and faces the cluster of skates.

"One, two, ten, fourteen, uhh, la la, eight, dum dum, Ahh! Here!" He pulls out a pair of skates and places it on the table. "And for Leanne!" He turns around and pulls out a smaller pair.

I pull out my wallet and hand him the money.

"Thank you lad! Have a great time with the darling." He smiled wide.

I grab the skates and walk towards the café. I grab a chair and sit down. Pulling out my phone I see its 2:45.

She's fifteen minutes late.

Maybe I should text her.

I fiddle with my fingers.

I go on twitter and follow people.

I check my messages. Nothing.

It's 3:30. Lee is an hour late.

Bringing my phone to my hear, I call her. It goes straight to voicemail.

I wait another thirty minutes until I give up and leave.

I guess that's what I deserved.
