"Mom wake up!" I shouted from the kitchen making breakfast for us both.

Today was July 16th two days before my moms birthday.

"Honey did you get the mail?" My mom asked coming downstairs.

"Yeah on the counter." I said pointing to it.

She picked it up going through it, gasping once she got to a blue letter. She dropped everything else quickly opening it.

"Mom what is it?" I asked walking towards her.

"Your father wants you to come visit him." She muttered giving the letter to me.

Dear Maggie,

I wish to see my daughter for the rest of summer. Have her pack her bags by four or so and she will be gone for the rest of summer and possibly for some of her school year. Please tell her and get her ready.

-Max

My dad's name is Max? Weird, also weird that now he wants me to come and visit him after sixteen years now he decided now would be a good time to visit.

"Honey go pack."

"No."

"Aria go pack I don't have a choice in the matter of fighting your father." She sighed rubbing her forehead.

"Why not, you always told me that why can't you fight him?!"

"JESUS HE IS THE KING!"

I was about to say something but I stop, king? King of where?

"He is the king of Bridgeport London." She said answering my question.

"Bridgeport? As in high class Bridgeport?"

"Go pack." She said nodding her head.

I sighed climbing up the stairs to my room, my room was nothing special. I had my bed pushed up against my wall across from my door, next to it was my closet which wasn't very big. My dresser was next to my door along with my desk. I had a small bay window next to my bed.

I pulled my suitcases out from underneath my bed, and started to clean out my closet and drawers. My mom walked in shortly after I finished packing.

"Honey where you are going is a cut throat short of place, you have to look, act and be the best. I know you won't be here for my birthday but I can't do anything about that. I love you, and I want you to know that."

"Mommy I love you to." I said hugging her.

We stayed like that for a while, until our doorbell rang. We let go and my mom jogged downstairs.

"Does Aria South live here?" I heard a deep voice ask.

"Yes who are you?"

"King Maxwell sent for her."

"Aria lets go!" My mom shouted up the stairs.

I grabbed my stuff and went downstairs, when I saw the men they looked like agents or something like that. Two of them grabbed my stuff and brought it out to a car, I turned to my mom crying hugging her goodbye.

"I love you baby girl." My mom whispered.

"I love you too." I whispered back.

I let go of her, walking over to the car. I got into the back, and shut the door. I ended up sitting in between two agent dudes. I groaned throwing my head back.

"Can I like get a different seat?" I asked the driver.

"No."

"Why not?" I asked poking his head.

"Because."

"Why?" I asked poking his head again.

"Stop poking my head, and because." He said turning around glaring at me.

I huffed falling back into the seat, the drive to Bridgeport was at least six to seven hours, and we weren't even ten minutes in and I wanted to shoot myself.

"Can we play music?" I asked.

"No."

"Can we get food?"

"No."

"Can we play a game?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Is no the only word you know?"

"No."

"Can you stop saying no?"

"Nope."

"Are you going to say nope now?"

"Nope."

"You lied."

"Nope."

"I can do this all day."

"So can I."

"Will you two shut the hell up so I can nap?!" The guy in the way back said to me and the driver.

"Well damn somebody is being salty." I muttered.

The driver nodded his head looking back to the road. I sighed looking out the window watching as we past little farms and little farm houses. I've never been to Bridgeport only passed it when my mom and I used to go on trips.

We have been in the car three hours now and we only had like three left, I was beyond bored. I wasn't suppose to talk and they didn't let me keep my phone. So I did the next best thing, I unbuckled my seat belt and put myself on top of the two agents and was about to fall asleep when the car stop throwing me forward onto the car floor.

"What the fuck?" I asked popping my head up.

"We are here."

"But I thought we only had three more hours."

"Yeah clock is broken probably should have told you that."

Asshole. The two agents in the back seat got out and I dragged myself out, I stood up and brushed myself off looking around. Holy shit, this place was huge. Wait this was a castle of course it was going to be huge.

"This way Princess." Somebody said to me.

I looked up and there was this woman holding an iPad going through it. I walked up to her and she started to head into the castle, I followed her and she lead me into a big dressing room.

"You will be dressed and makeup done, and I will be take you to lunch where you will meet your new family." She said sitting in a seat.

Some other lady came rushing in with clothes that cost more than my house, she pulled me into a curtain room. She pulled me out of my clothes that I came in and held dresses up to me once she finally found one she made me put that on. She handed me shoes and pulled me out into the main dressing room, she let me sit on a chair and she started to work on my hair and makeup. She dressed me in a tight knee length dress with eggshell shoes with my hair in curls, my makeup was very natural and light.

"One last thing." The lady with the iPad said. She pulled something out of her bag. "Forgot to say my name, i'm Clare Penny. Just call me Clare, i'm your personal assistant." She said handing me the box.

I opened it and my eyes popped out of my head. "Seriously?"

"You are a princess after all."

In the box was a very beautiful crown, the lady who did my hair and makeup took it from me and set it on top of my hair. I smiled at her and followed Clare out to the garden, I was so not ready to meet my new family.
