The Girl With The Hood And The Beast Part 4

    Cerise had already left the palace and was inside of the deep dark woods. She tugged onto her hood as it covered her top part of her face and for protection.

The wind howled as it blew stronger each step Cerise took. But as she strolled along gripping the golden flower tightly with her hand, random pairs of eyes glowed in the dark and something started to bellow.

     Cerise looked around herself as she found a group of wolves surround her. They growled as they licked their yellow fangs with hunger...lots of hunger in fact.

     Cerise thought fast as she could and yanked off a thick branch from a tree. It was rickety and spiked, it was an excellent weapon against the opponents.

     She stepped behind with the weapon as the wolves crawled closer licking their noses. One wolf in particular started to leap before her, but she swung the thick branch like a baseball bat and the wolf dropped dead. Unfortunately, that didn't cause the wolf to scamper away, instead, it only caused them to chase after her.

     Cerise ran for her life just like when the beast tried to keep her inside the palace for only company. As she ran beside a cliff, a roar unlike anything she heard. The wolves whimpered in pure fear and scampered away from Cerise when a beast jumped out of the blue.

    " Daring..." she breathed as guilt rose inside of her.

     She had accidentally dropped the flower that was tightly gripped inside of her hand and as she did so, the beast froze. He gripped his mighty claws onto his chest and....collapsed.

      Cerise froze for a second, then zoomed to the lying beast.

     " Daring...." Cerise whispered as she touched his now weak face and tears rolled down her cheek.

     " Cerise....why did you...." Daring gasped as he froze for a second then his lifetime came to an end.

      Cerise couldn't speak, she couldn't do anything. She couldn't believe what she did, first she broke someone's heart, then she...lead someone to their own death.

     She cried and cried. A tear rolled down her cheek and landed on the furry face of the beast. As that tear landed, fumes of magic shot out of Daring's chest. The magic lifted the beast and swirled around him. As it stopped, Daring was no longer a beast...he was a human. Daring opened his eyes as he looked at his fair-skinned hands.

    " Cerise...it's me." Daring said as he reached out his right hand to wipe the tears out of her eyes.

    Cerise couldn't be any happier. So she leapt onto Daring and hugged him very tightly.

     She wasn't going to let him go.
