Cerise's eyes widened like never before as the beast growled before her. Her bones shook like trembling stones rolling down mountains and her mouth wanted to scream.
But the yelp for help never came out...
Instead of yelling for help, she instead just shot out of the room and ran for her life with the beast chasing after her. Cerise ran lighting speed throughout the castle looking for the entrance that she used to enter before...but it was gone, or was it that the castle was so big she...got lost?
Luckily , she reached the doorway but it was closed and...locked. The girl tried to lift open the heavy lock but it was so heavy like it was glued to it's place. As she tried and tried, the monster finally reached her.
" Please don't leave." a deep and worn-out voice said.
Cerise turned around and found the beast and rapidly fumbled with the wooden door for it to open.
" Please, I don't want to hurt you." the beast said in a kindly but low voice.
" You don't want to hurt me?" Cerise asked in disbelief.
" No," the beast replied " I just want some company."
" As if." Cerise replied sarcastically. But then she looked at the horrid beast and found that he wasn't kidding. But she knew she had to be careful " Why?"
" Because I'm lonely." the beast replied.
" You're lonely?"
" Yes. Ever since I've been placed under a curse...everyone I knew and loved...left me."
Cerise didn't believe this at first, she thought that this was one of his traps. Since she was raised around a villain-infested community and the woods, she taught herself how to be quick and to use her brain in times like this. But she couldn't resist those blue eyes that the beast had and she felt like she had been through that pain before.
" Oh, I'm so sorry."
" It's alright, I've gotten a little bit used to it."
Cerise knew that she was going to regret this but...it was worth a try. She hoped it wasn't worth her life...as food.
" I'll stay with you."
" Really?"
" But just for a while."
" I can't believe that. You want to stay...with...a beast? Like me?"
" Yeah, but as long as you don't eat me." Cerise said, but she soon closed her mouth. But to her surprise the beast was laughing.
" Come on, I'll show you to your room." the beast chuckled.
After a while, Cerise figured that she would explore a little. Then she remembered the golden flower, oh how it was pretty. She was about to get up from her guest bed when her door knocked.
" May I come in?" a voice called.
Cerise was surprised by the mature gesture when she figured out that was the beast. The beast was a really kind monster. Then why was he cursed?
