We quickly make a pit stop to the house, where I make a quick picnic up and grab a few blankets for if it gets cold. Hannah put's drives the kids into her car for more room, while I drive Mamrie. We reach the beach in record time. I get Mamrie into her wheelchair while Hannah helps Hart get Eve into the pushchair. Mamrie hasn't been outside yet since the accident, she must be scared and embarrassed. This is her first time in public in a wheelchair before as well.
"Where too first?"I ask. Mamrie mumbles and points to the pier.
"Sure, let's go," I exclaim, making this day as happy as it can be. We all walk down the street and get quite a few stares but we all shake them off. Hannah pays for us all to go to the Pier and we slowly make our way up to the top of the pier. At the top of the pier, you could really taste the salt in the air. We all go into the restaurant at the top of the pier, and order a few drinks for us all.
"What do you want Mamrie?" Hannah questions, waiting at the bar for drinks. Once again she mumbles and points to her favourite drink. A Gin Gimlet.
"I should have known." Hannah laughs, as I wheel Mamrie to a table. We all wait for Hannah to get back with the drinks. It was an awkward silence till Hartley started talking to Mamrie about how Sebastian is doing, seeing as we get monthly updates. Soon enough Hannah comes back with the drinks, one with a blue straw in to make it easier for Mamrie to drink from. She takes sip and smiles. It has been a long time since she has had a drink.
The town we are in is very small, more like a village, which is amazing because we don't have people constantly asking fro autographs and photos. After a while, we finish up our drinks and start getting things ready to leave the pier and head down to the beach. While I put Mamrie's coat back on and I put Eve into the pushchair, Hannah pays for the drinks. She arrives back just as I am strapping Eve in. I push Mamrie out of the restaurant, saying thank you as we leave and Hartley pushes Eve. Hannah holds my hand as I steer Mamrie's wheelchair with one hand. Soon enough we arrive at the steps to the beach. We put Mamrie's brakes on at the top of the stair's and help Hartley get the pushchair down the steps.
"Go find us a place to sit and we will be back in a sec, just going to get Mames down," I explain, as I grab the end of the pram and carry down the steps. I lay the pushchair on the ground and Hartley pulls it along behind her as it is hard to push on the sand and finds us a place. Next, I take one end of Mamrie and Hannah gets the other and we help her down the stairs. Somehow a wheelchair is easier to push on sand than a pushchair. We go off and look for Hartley and Eve. She hadn't got very far, seeing as she was struggling, I leave Mamrie with Hannah and run off to help her. We quickly carry the pushchair to a spot and lay out the picnic. By the time Hannah arrive with Mamrie everything was set out. Eve was sat nicely on the picnic blanket playing with a few toys, Hartley was eating.
"Hannah, Do you reckon she is enjoying the day out?" I whisper, trying to make sure Mamrie doesn't hear.
"Of course sweetie," Hannah says, leaning forward and placing a gentle kiss onto my lips. The kiss gets broken off by Mamrie screeching.
"Mamrie?"
"Mames what's wrong?" I ask, panicked. Hartley had quickly grabbed hold of Eve in panic. Soon she starts to laugh and giggle. She had tricked us, she was just amazed to see me and Hannah were actually dating. She has always shipped Hartbig from day one, so to see it happen must be the best day in her life.
"Oh My God! Mamrie, you got us all good there." I laugh, as Hannah puts some food on the plate for Mames. We get Mamrie out of the wheelchair and place her on the floor with us so she doesn't seem so distant.
"Mom, can Hannah take me and Eve to the sea?" Hartley asks.
"I'm sure that's fine, if Hannah doesn't mind?"
"Come on then." Hannah smiles, putting Eve on her hip and walking down to the sea with Hartley to the other side of her. We both sit in silence as we watch them from a distance. Out of the corner of my eye I see Mamrie shiver.
"You cold?"
She nods her head and mouths yes. I pack the picnic up and all Eve's toys because as soon as they come back we would be heading off home. I get another blanket and place it onto Mamrie. Her head rests on my shoulder and her eyes quickly close together.
"Night Mametown, I love you." I smile as I tuck her into me. A few moments later I see Hannah and Hartley make their way back to us.
"Right Hartley get your sicks and shoes on. We are going now." I say, as I lie Mamrie on the flor for a second. As I put Eve's coat and shoes on, then strapping her into the pushchair. I put all the bags underneath the pushchair. Hartley follows me as we make our way to the stairs and carry the pushchair up the stairs.
"You wait here and don't move for anything." I exclaim. I start to walk back to Hannah but as I get closer I start to run back. Hannah was flapping her arms everywhere, trying to get my attention.
"What's wrong?" I question.
"Quickly, get Mamrie back into her chair and carry her out quickly." Hannah orders, as we rush to get Mamrie out off the beach.
"Why? What's worng?" I ask. Hannah doesn't reply but makes it her mission to get her back.
"TELL ME NOW. WHAT'S WRONG HANNAH. YOUR SCARING ME PLEASE." I scream as we get her up the stairs.
"Take the kids to your mom's then come straight to the hospital. Grace when she fell alseep. I think I think it slowed down her breathing. I think this is her last day. NOW GO!"Hannah explains, racing off to her car. Me and Hart race off to my car and I speed to my mom's house. Without explanation I drop them off and race to the hospital. I burst through the doors, I needed to know where Hannah was. I turn a corner and see Hannah standing there.
"Where is she I need to see her." I say, tears forming in my eyes.
"No...no Grace no...
