The two cheeky and determined orphans ran back to their little alley where hardly anyone passed.
"I think Azzy saw us and calmed his girlfriend down" Chara said as they stopped, pie in hands.
"Well he let us get away with it so he remembers us" Frisk said. "But enough about that, it's time to eat"
"Yes! I haven't tasted this in so long" Chara said as they both dug in. They both sighed in contempt delight.
"This tastes so much better than I remember" Frisk said. Chara nodded in agreement. "Or it could be the fact we haven't eaten this in a while and we forgot how it tasted"
"It's probably because we haven't eaten this in a while and we forgot how it tasted" Chara said. "But it does taste better than I remember so I don't know"
"I'm glad we had this today, the day we started dating" Frisk smiled. Chara looked at his smile and smiled back.
"You know Frisk, you should smile more often. I love it when you smile" Chara complimented.
"Same goes for you Chara; your smile is so beautiful" he said.
"I promise that as long as I'm alive, I'll keep smiling ok?" Chara promised. He smiled.
"And I promise to do the same" Frisk said. She smiled again before yawning.
"I'm tired" she said. Frisk chuckled before yawning himself. "And you are too"
"Come on, let's go to sleep" he said. Frisk and Chara went to a cardboard box. Frisk sat down and laid on the wall while Chara slept on his lap. They got alot of stares from people from the streets. Some looked at the two pitifully. Even so, the two continued to dream.
The next morning, Frisk woke up and saw that Chara was no where to be seen.
"Chara?" Frisk called. He looked around and saw her looking at an old ball-dancing poster that was always on the street lamp. She looked at the woman's clothes, and then down at her own with a frown. He went up to her. "Are you ok? What's wrong?"
"Sometimes, I'd compare their clothes to mine" she said and held her hands close to her chest. "And feel heartache everytime"
Frisk stopped and held her hand. She looked up at him with slight confusion. He smiled warmly and said.
"Someday we'll hold hands like this..." he said. He kneeled down, still holding her hand. "... And let's dance on a stage"
Chara smiled and they danced in their little alleyway. They imagined they were dressed in fancy clothes, like the ones in the poster. They imagines they were rich and they were dancing to the music of a string orchestra. They kept smiling and laughing. Chara was extremely happy.
Until her eyes widened and she began coughing.
