2 villages were situated at the border of a lake at one end was Algonquin and the other was a
village where a young invisible and HANDSOME hunter lived with his sister that granted him
anything he asked for. When a girl comes he would go invisible and that girl that could see
him he would marry her. There has been many that has tried but has not succeeded. When a
girl comes she would walk her brother down towards her and ask her "do you see my
brother?" Some would be honest and say "no" some would lie and say "yes". When ever she
would say yes the sister would ask. "Of what does the strap on his shoulder made of?" "And
what is his bow and arrow made of"? They would reply a strap of rawhide or green sapling.
There the sister would know that she had not told the truth. She would tell the girl to go home
back to their wigwam. For they have not told the truth. There the handsome man has not
found his bride yet.
