Chapter 9

Dakota's P.O.V
I growl at Dawn still not happy that there is a wolf in the house. "I'm Todd and this idiot right here." Todd puts his hand on my head. " Is Dakota. So what brings you here?" Todd says with a smile. Nomad moves to sniff Todd's leg and I snarl a warning. Nomad growls back at me as Dawn and Todd talk. Nomad pulls on the chain leash that Dawn holds. I stand and start to growl. Luna who had moved back to the living room yells at me to be nice. I ignore the yell and start to move at Nomad. A small hand grabs the collar around my neck and gives a small tug. "Dakota shift will you? Please?" Todd says I look at him and my bones start to rearrange themselves to the right place in a few seconds I'm shifted and I look at Dawn. "Yes?" She looked surprised. I pick up Todd and move into the kitchen to make some food. "Why do you have to be so mean to Nomad, Dakota?" Todd says. " He is in my territory. He will play by my rules and he doesn't want to." I say simply. "That's no reason to lash out." He says. I feel something tracing my tattoo. I look down at Todd who was very gently tracing the tattoo I got for him. "I'll try not to be so mean. How about after I get us some food we go play a few games." I say with a smile as I put him down on the counter and look in the fridge. " Can we practice fighting today?" He says as I pull out leftovers of some veil. "Of course." I say with a smile. I pop the meat into the microwave and wait for the time to run out. I hear the door open and someone walk in. I walk out of the kitchen to the mud room. Kenzie stood with Loki and they were talking I smile and retreat to the kitchen and pull the veil out and cut it up for me and Todd. I lean on the counter and eat the veil. " I might get a new tattoo." I say to Todd. He gives me a smile " you have picture of it?" He says excited i nod and pull out a sketch of the tattoo
