"Hey babe! Guess what?!" Brendon said while running down the hallway.

You stop and smile, turning around to face him.

"What Brenny?"

He stops and kisses you.

"We got a record deal!"

Your heart skips a beat. You start to tear up. You and Brendon have been waiting for this moment forever.

"Bren, that's amazing!"

I wish I didn't have to ruin his day with the news...

Brendon must've seen the look on your face.

"Babe? Are you okay? You look worried or something?"

You look up at him. Defining each detail on his face. Trying to find a way out of this conversation.

"Uh, did you tell your parents that we're dating yet?"

He stops, then sighs.

"No. I don't know how they would feel about that."

He steps closer to you, pushing a strand of your h/c hair behind your ear.

"Did you tell them that your..."

"Atheist, no, I have not."

He sighs. You hug him, tight. You never want to let go. He hugs back.

"Babe."

"Yeah."

"I need to tell you something. It's really important."

"Anything, in all ears."

You take a deep breath.

"You know who after prom we..."

"Fucked?"

You laugh a bit.

"Yeah. Well, I just found out that I am maybe sorta... Pregnant."

His smile fades.

"You're what?"

A tear falls down your face.

"Pregnant."

He sits there for a few seconds.

"I'm gonna be a dad?"

"Yes."

His eyes grow wide.

"In gonna be a father?!"

Your start to cry.

"Yes Brendon."

He smiles and picks you up.

"I'm gonna be a dad! Babe! Why didn't you tell me before?!"

"I was scared. I thought you wouldn't stay."

He puts you down.

"Why would I leave you?"

"Because you wouldn't want the baby."

He wipes your cheeks from crying.

"I would never leave you, especially if your pregnant. I love you way to much to hurt you, remember that. Okay?"

You smile.

"Okay."

He smiles at you and kisses you. He takes your hand and walks you out of the school.

"Bren? What are you doing?"

"Taking you to my house."

"What?!"

"I'm taking you to my house so I can tell my parents about you and my religious beliefs."

You nod your head.

"Okay, lets go."
