After a few long hours of driving, we got to the ship yard that Kevin stayed while he deciphered the tablets. I got out first and Sunny followed behind me to the lone ship in the harbor. I knocked on the metal door and I was soon answered by the door opening and holy water being sprayed at me. Sunny had no reaction, but since I was part demon, it sizzled and steamed on my skin and burned me. I stepped back and cried out in pain.
After a few seconds, the pain stopped and I stood, seeing Kevin with a water gun in hand.
I looked at him and glared, "You knew I was coming. What's with the holy water?"
"Sorry. Reflex." He replied, allowing us to get in. I looked around and saw that all the demon warding had been disabled. The only thing still up was the cloaking spell that hid us from everything outside the boat. Dean sat in a fold-up chair with Mary on his lap and Sam leaned against the sink.
Once we were in, Kevin shut the door and set down his water gun.
I walked over, "Come here, you goofball." I hugged him and patted his back. I pulled away and saw that he had dark circles under his eyes, he was very skinny, and he was shaking.
"How many hours do you sleep a night?" I asked, rubbing the circles under his eyes.
"About three every other night."
I crossed my eyes, "What do you eat and drink?"
"Hot dogs and coffee mostly."
I shook my head and frowned, turning to Sam, "Can you go on a supply run?" he nodded. "I'll give you some money. I'm making dinner."
I wrote some stuff down and handed Sam the list. He left and I started cleaning up around the ship.
"What's with all the cleaning and the 'I'll make dinner' stuff?" Kevin asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"I'm a mother." I said, looking at Mary as she watched TV. "It's kind of an instinct. You are not eating right, not sleeping right, and you might've had a minor stroke. After dinner, you'll be out like a light." I smiled, wiping down the sink and countertops.
I looked in the fridge and shrunk back from the smell. All the hot dogs were rotten and flies were buzzing around them. I covered my nose and sighed, "Kevin, grab me a trash bag and some rubber gloves."

Once Sam got back with the groceries, the ship was as clean as it was going to be with Kevin living here. Dean and Sunny peeled potatoes while I made Pillsbury croissants and put a couple of chickens in the oven. It took a few hours, but by nine P.M., all the plates were empty and Kevin was on the verge of a food-induced coma. Mary had fallen asleep hours ago and was out on the floor.
"Oh my God, Jack, where did you learn how to cook like that?" Kevin asked, patting his over full belly.
I laughed, "I took a class after Mary was born. Nobody but me and Dean can cook, so I learned a couple of big meals. And by big, I mean big. I have to feed Dean, Sam, and Matt, so there has to be a lot of food."
"I've never had such a good bird for dinner . . . ever." Dean laughed, leaning back in his chair and putting his hands behind his head. "I swear, each time you cook, it gets better."
"Thanks." I replied and stood. I grabbed Kevin's arm and pulled him to stand. "All righty, time for bed."
"But I haven't even finished my beer." He protested, standing shakily.
"I'd do what she says. You drink the last of that," Sam pointed to the half empty bottle of beer, Kevin's third. "You'll feel it in the morning."
I practically dragged Kevin to his mattress. It wasn't a bed, just a mattress with a spring poking out.
"Okay, nighty-night, Kev-man." I sighed, watching him fall onto his bed. "We'll talk about the purgatory stuff tomorrow."

Dean made biscuits with jelly and butter and Mary had her curls in a ponytail. I laughed and Dean looked back at me.
"What?" he asked, Mary smiling at me.
"How did you manage that?" I asked, laughing a little more.
"Kev had a vacuum hose. All you gotta do is suck up all the hair and slip on the hair tie." Dean said while petting my daughter's head. Kevin was the last to wake and when he walked out of his room, his eyes were shut.
"Morning, Special K. Biscuits will be ready in a minute." Dean said as I sipped my coffee.
He reached for a mug and the coffee pot, but I snatched both from him, "Uh-uh."
" 'ey!" he replied.
"Water for you. No caffeine for a while." I sat the table next to Dean and Kevin started to stuff his face.
Sam cleared his throat, "So what is it you said about the spell?"
Kevin froze for a second, the wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and spoke with his mouth almost full, "The tablet says that there is a spell that can transport exactly two people to Purgatory."
"I'm going." Dean and I said at in unison.
