On her birthday, a few weeks later, I took Mary to the store and bought her a birthday present. It wasn't much, but she loved it nonetheless. When we got back, Matt had finished baking her chocolate cake. Dean and Sam bought bourbon for the adults and soda for Mary. I wasn't really in the mood to drink any alcohol, so I just stuck to soda.

We had just stuck a "6" candle into the cake and were about to cut the it when Dean says he needs to get a knife and leaved the kitchen.

"Dean, we have knives in the . . ." Sam called after his brother, but swiping his hand through the air in defeat.

"Let him go." Matt, says laughing as Mary stares hungrily at the cooling cake.

Seconds later, Dean comes back in the door slowly with the demon knife in his hand and all his muscles in his body taught and flexed.

"You're not really gonna cut the cake with that, are you Dean?" I laughed, sipping my soda bottle.

His eyes flash black, "Not the cake, Jackie."

Sam, Matt and I all stand, Matt in front of Mary protectively and Sam stepping in front of Matt and behind me.

"Daddy? What's wrong with Grandpa?" Mary asked in a hushed tone, trembling behind Matt.

Dean's voice said, "I'm not your grandpa, sweetie. More like great-uncle." But Dean wasn't currently Dean, I could feel that it wasn't him.

"Adam." Matt said firmly as his eyes glowed blue. Mary looked up at him and copied him, her eyes turning a dim glowing blue.

Adam smiled through Dean's lips, "Bingo."

"Matt, take Mary somewhere safe. Go find Cas." I said, keeping my eyes on Adam. "Take Sam too. Go, now."

"Jack, you are the only one who can be hurt by that knife." Sam said, reaching for my arm. "Matt and I should be the ones to--"

But I turned, my own eyes blinking black defensively, "I said, go!" My voice dropping demonically on the last word.

Sam flinched back. Matt looked at me, scared as all hell. But he could see the fear in my eyes even though I was trying to hide it with my black shields. He grabbed Mary, propping her on his hip, then grabbed Sam's shoulder and disappeared.

I knew that the chances of seeing any of them again was slim to none, but I had to throw that thought out the window if I wanted to have that small chance.

I looked back at Dean and saw that he was now leaning on the door, twirling the knife on his finger.

"I swear to God, Adam. You hurt Dean, I'll—" I growled, my voice trembling accidentally.

"You'll what?" He snapped back, walking closer. "You'll rip me to shreds?" He smirked. "Well, news flash, you hurt me, you hurt your Daddy."

He swung at me with the demon knife but I ducked just in time to slip past him and run out the door. I took off into the nearly endless corridors of the bunker, trying my best to hide.

"Run, run, run as fast as you can, little Winchester!" Dean's voice rang through the halls. "But the thing is," The lights dimmed into a dark red and an alarm sounded. "You can't go anywhere!"

The siren signaled that the bunker was going into lockdown. Lockdown meant that every entrance and every exit would be lined with salt dropped from hidden compartments in the ceilings and every angel proofing sigil in the bunker would be activated.

Which meant neither Adam nor I would be able to escape.

It also meant that I was trapped and cut off from Matt, Sam, and Cas.

I was all alone in this one.

And I was terrified.

It had been an hour since Dean's eyes went black and I had no weapon. If I kept running, he wouldn't find me.

In the terrible light, I eventually found the control room and managed to get the bunker out of lockdown.

The lights came back on and I took in a breath of relief. I walked out of the room and leaned against the wall for support, enjoying the small victory, but my celebration was cut short.

A hand slammed over my neck and pinned me to the wall.

"Told you I'd find you." Adam sneered as he dragged me to the dungeon on the second floor.
