Dear Victim,

Today is your funeral. I'm sitting in the church with tears rimming my eyes threatening to fall. But I'm strong, you always told me I was strong, that I could easily get through the bump in the road.

I just don't think this is a bump in the road I can easily get through. You were my best friend, my stepsister and the reason I woke up many morning. You kept me smiling. You kept me distracted from the loss of my father.

But now I have no one to help me with the loss of you.

The priest gave me a look of sorrow. Your dad asked me to say a few words. So I did. I only did it because we had promised to say something at each others funerals when we were younger.

As I made my way up the alter a few stray tears fell down my cheek. I had to do this for you.

I wish I could tell you how much you meant to me Sam,

Carter.
