Sunny Days and Rainy Nights

Sunny days and rainy nights.
Rain pounding on the roof,
Sun burning my skin.
The cat runs in the night,
It is about to take flight
Sunny days and rainy nights,
They bring me joy,
They bring me pain.
I run from the night,
Like I'm running from the cops.
The rain pounds down on me,
I cannot escape it,
I cannot stop it.
Sunny days and rainy nights,
How do they find me,
How do they stop.
The sunny days are bright,
The rainy nights are dark,
I cannot see
I cannot move,
Sunny days and rainy nights,
They're everything I lived for.
I cannot find anything else,
I cannot let go,
Nothing else means this much,
Sunny days and rainy nights,
They shall not end,
They shall not go,
As long as I do not go.
I see a puddle.
I step in,
It is to bright,
It blinds me to my death.
Sunny days and rainy nights,
Gone, gone into nowhere,
For they have passed just like I.
