"master! master!", cried Dobby the house elf, as he ran through the hallway towards Lucius.
"what? what do you want?", he snapped, clearly getting irritated by the small creature.
"a letter", he said, handing a crisp white envelope to Lucius. it has a large red wax stamp on the back, the crest of Hogwarts carved in to it.

Dear Draco Malfoy,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Yours Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Head Mistress

Acceptance in to Hogwarts was nothing special to a Malfoy, the family had been going there for centuries. But with Draco's    "situation " , this was a very important moment.
"What are you still doing here? Go. No, no wait. Go and visit the girl, it's about time for her lunch," Lucius commanded the elf, walking through the room to find his wife and son, and told them the news. Lucius and Narcissa were ecstatic, and Draco couldn't understand why. Going to Hogwarts just seemed like a right to any wizard, but the young boy didn't know that he wasn't just any wizard. In fact, he truly wasn't a wizard at all.

Whilst all of this was going on, Dobby was making his way down a long staircase, finally meeting a brick wall. He ran his hand along the centre of it, finding one brick, slightly darker than the rest. Pushing it slightly, the wall transformed in to a wooden door, a sparkling silver handle waiting to be pushed. He made his way past the door, in to the room of the girl. Iris' room.

Iris Potter sat on a comfortable bed in the corner of the room, a violet duvet under her folded legs. Around her she had posters of the wizard bands she liked, and a few of the muggle singers she enjoyed. Her dressing table sat at the other end of the room, decorated with make up and jewellery. Her eyes sparkled a bright yellow as Dobby walked in, she was happy to see him. The house elf sat her meal down on her desk, a warm bowl of soup and some bread to go with it.
"Dobby!", she exclaimed, running to greet him.
"Shh! They'll hear! You know I'm not supposed to talk to you!," the elf replied, shutting the door, "I really don't understand, they allow you all of these luxuries, but yet, a friend is not one of them!"
"I know, it's stupid. Thanks for the soup, though!" she said, her long black hair falling softly over her shoulder.
"Is your scar hurting today, Iris?" he asked kindly, as she sat down for her meal. Her scar was what kept her connected to Draco, a small black snake on her left wrist, as long as she stayed in her room, the connection would remain, but if she left it, it would be severed and Draco would die. Iris had definitely thought about escaping when one of the house elves brought her her food, but she knew that that would make her responsible for the death of another, and she couldn't do that. She had never met the one she gave her power to, though she imagined what he was like, and if he knew about her.
"Not today, no," she said, smiling at Dobby.
"Well, I best be going. Goodbye Iris!" he said, opening the door.
"Bye!" she called after him as he left. Once again, she was left all alone.
