Second Phase

"Excellent work, everyone. Phase Two of the exam will occur here, in the Biska Forest Park. So, I shall take my leave. Best luck to all of you." Satotz said and went somewhere.

The gate opens to reveal a mansion with a sprawling garden that is set up for cooking. There's a woman voice ordered all the applicants to enter.

The woman greeted us and introduced herself as Menchi the second phase examiner, there is a very big and fat man behind her introduced himself as Buhara another examiner.

Then there's a loud grumble sound that came from the obese man's stomach,

"You must be hungry" Menchi said to him.

"I'm starving..." He replied.

"There you have it. Phase two will involve..."

'I know what you're going to say' I thought.

"...Cooking"

There're some complaints from most of the applicants.

"Your challenge for the second phase is to produce a dish that will satisfy our palate."

"Why do we have to cook?" said a man called Todo.

"That's because we're Gourmet Hunters."

There's some laugh and derision from some applicants, I can see the irritated face on Menchi's expression.

"So, Gourmet Hunters, what are we supposed to make?" said Todo as the laugh and snickering started to calm a bit.

"Buhara." Menchi said.

"The requite ingredient is pork. You're free to use meat from any species of Biska Forest pigs. You must use the cooking facilities here to prepare the pork, and you only pass if we both find it delicious." He said.

"And we will evaluate more than just taste, don't underestimate the intricacies of cooking. Got it? When we've both eaten our fill the exam will end." Menchi added still with irritated expression and voice.

"We get it. We get it. Let's just start" Said Todo as he really get it.

'He doesn't get it for sure'

"Then, the exam's second phase begins now" Buhara said with his hand hit his stomach made a sound that signaled it started. All of applicant dashed out and scattered to started hunt the pig.

That examiner is a bit nasty, but still it's easy though because I know in Biska Forest there's only one species of pig here.

It's the Great Stamp, this world most ferocious pig. They use their large stout noses to send their enemies flying. If you're too slow, you'll end up as their dinner.

'The weak point is their forehead'

I jump to a tree branch that tall enough to conceal myself and wait for the pig to come. The group (Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio) seems have found the pigs and somewhat they have become my baits unintentionally.

As the group of pigs was chasing them, I took my opportunity to take the last one down by jumping from the tree and hit it by landing right on its forehead.

And it's dead.

Seems that no one noticing me so I go ahead first to my station. On the way back to the mansion, I also picked other ingredients that I'm going to use and bring it with me.

Talking about cooking, it really made me remember about my mother and grandmother. Both of them are the ones who was trained me and Kei about cooking. They were very strict and perfectionist.
