New Friends and the Cullens

Just as we entered the building an adorable asian kid walked up to us with a big smile on his face. "Hi! You must be Carleen Quinn, I'm Eric the eyes and ears of this place. I see you've already met my friend Tyler." Grinning up at him I could tell he was the natural type(first one to get this reference gets a shout out!). "Well aren't you just a ball of energy." He smiled even wider and linked his arm with mine. "I can tell we are going to be great friends!"

Friends? Wow it's like people here actually except me! We had to split up for first period due to the fact that they had different classes. Once I got there the class was mostly full but the teacher wasn't in. So instead of picking a random seat I opted to sit on their desk and wait. Several kids stared at me and it was getting pretty annoying. I mean haven't they ever heard that staring is rude!

Finally the teacher walked in and gave me my assigned seat thank god. I had really started considering bashing those kids heads on desk! Anyway as class started a beautiful tall blonde girl walked in with a late slip. As she walked to her seat which happened to be right behind me you could her all the whispers about her. The girls saying rude and jealous comments while the boys made crude and vulgar ones.

As she sat down I turned to her and smiled. "Don't listen to them they're just jealous of you and want what you have." She stared at me in shock. I held my hand out for her and told her my name. Hesitantly the vampire girl took my hand. Yes I knew she was a vampire it was quite obvious. Daddy worked with them sometimes in Gotham. They're really fun to tease! But they had red eyes and she has golden ones hmm...

I found out that the girls name is Rosalie she seems nice enough. I also meet a very talkative girl in music named Jessica and a very sweet girl named Angela in photography. It was now lunch and I was walking with Tyler and Jessica. After we got our food we headed towards a table that held Angela, Eric,and two other people I didn't know.

"Hi I'm Carly!" The boy smiled and introduced himself as Mike and told me the girl's name was Lauren because she refused to talk to me. Wonder what's wrong with her? We all talked and ate beside Lauren who just ate and ignored me. I mean what the hell is her damn problem!

"Who are they?" I asked as I saw a group of vamps and a human walk into the cafeteria. Everyone followed my line of sight and frowned at the group in question. "Oh that's the Cullens and Isabella Swan. They are the kids who think they're to good for everyone especially Bella." Jessica said. After she explained who they were I was mildly curious. "What's makes Bella worse than the others?"
At this everyone's frown deepens and no one says anything. Except for Lauren of course.

"What makes her worse is that we all use to be friends with her and then she ditched us for them."

That's when they told me the story of Isabella Swan. How she started late in the year and became obsessed with the Cullens. Specifically Edward Cullen. Soon after they started dating and she became more distant. Then one day the Cullens up and left without poor Bella. She became even more obsessed and didn't talk,eat, or go out anymore. Soon the Cullens came back and Bella was all better. But this time she cut them out completely acting as if they were strangers.

I think I understand why Lauren is so over protective of her friends now. She doesn't want anyone to hurt them like Bella did. That's when I made up my mind for good. These people are gonna be like family to me from now on. I'll protect them at all cost. But to make this family complete I'm gonna have to make sure Lauren knows we are on the same page.

Hearing her name Lauren looks over at me with a slight glare. "What do you want?" For a moment I just stared at her. I'm gonna have to get used to people talking to me like that. In Gotham no one would even dare look at me the wrong way! Choosing my words carefully I start.

"Look I understand that you want to protect your friends but..." I trailed off before standing up and slamming my hands on the table. "I'm not that bitch and I would never hurt you guys intentionally!" They all stared at me with wide eyes then they turned to Lauren. She stared at me for a moment before smirking.

"Ok but you get one chance that's it."

Jumping up and down I start to yell happily. "Thank you thank you thank you L you won't regret it!" They all laughed as they watched me. Slinging my arm around her shoulder I tell her we are going to be besties and she agrees. "Wait I was her best friend first!" Tyler exclaims to which she sticks her tongue out and tells him to bad. After that some choice words were exchanged as they start chasing each other around.

Giggling as the bell rings I realize that this is going to be fun!
